Red removes all the marginal notes from "TP", including her verification of the facts and the further conclusions she draws—as well as her identification as "Tamara Preston".

Harry writes a drunken note to Cooper explaining the circumstances around Josie’s death. In the show, Coop personally witnessed Josie dying, and what he saw became a significant plot detail.

The Influence of Dougie Milford

There are six novels based on Twin Peaks which have been released in book and/or audio book format and are written by authors involved with the series. These books are intended to be canon to the franchise and expand upon the storylines portrayed in the series and film; they do contain some continuity errors and contradictions, however - some of which may be intentional.

It is Mark Frost’s season three prologue, The Secret History of Twin Peaks, which perfects this form of comics presentation. The report of Kenneth Arnold's UFO sighting places the event on June 25, while the previous news article states that it happened the previous day, June 24. Agent Preston mentions that Cooper was shot by Windom Earle, whereas it’s always been made emphatically clear that Coop had been stabbed.

THE AUDIOBOOK

Agent Preston comments that Jacoby’s patient files confirm this is what happened. However, this isn’t exactly how things went down in Season 2 of Twin Peaks. In a slight difference, the Civil War storyline with Ben Horne is wrapped up with the South winning the war — not the war’s “actual conclusion,” as Jacoby writes about in the Secret History. The book states that the Great Northern opened in 1928 and Ben Horne was born in 1940. But Episode 18 shows a footage of Ben at the Great Northern groundbreaking. Similarly, the Access Guide states the Hotel groundbreaking to be in 1927 and using the same 1940 birthdate for Ben. however, it’s a german edition with the z/y keys in switched positions, which is normal on the ‘qwertz’ keyboard:: In the Access Guide, Harry team number is #10, Ed is #60, Hank is #81 and Stan Lillas is #80 but in the dossier, Harry is #45, Ed is #65 and Hank is #80. It is important that everything in The Secret History of Twin Peaks be plausible within the confines of that world and within the genre of conspiracy theory literature, and also plausibly deniable.
