Description

Alex Cross ventures into the rugged Montana wilderness - where he will be the prey. He's not on the job, but on a personal mission. Recently the franchise was rebooted in the 2012 movie, Alex Cross. Starring Tyler Perry as the James Patterson protagonist, Alex Cross must pursue military-trained assassin turned murderer Picasso(Matthew Fox) as they play an elaborate game of cat and mouse.

Caught in a web of assassins, Alex Cross enters the final battle with the all-knowing genius who has stalked him and his family for years. Dr. Alex Cross and Detective John Sampson venture into the rugged Montana wilderness—where they will be the prey. As always the thrill and darkness of death and evil is tempered by the beautiful Cross family and Nana mama's cooking.Engrossing as always, this also manages to bind two separate stories nicely together and the breathtaking climax well justifies the long wait for the new Alex Cross. The chemistry and camaraderie between Alex and John, that between Alex and Bree, and in fact, between all members of the extended Alex Cross family is nuanced and warm. it makes you want to be a part of such a family. Nana Mama is the smart twenty-first century grandmother, much like Seamus from the Michael Bennett series. Ali is also becoming quite a detective, on his own time and has a small little subplot of his own here. I loved this latest Alex Cross book! For me it felt like one of the early Cross books; the plot was exhilarating and non-stop, the twists never stopped coming and I always enjoy the characters. I am never too keen when plots start to focus too much on the central characters instead of an investigation angle, in this read, the case does focus around Cross and Sampson but in a good way, they are key to the investigation throughout, I enjoyed seeing where it took them and Patterson sets it up well for the next book in the series.

James Patterson puts his hero Alex Cross through the wringer once again in his 29th book, and as always it is a breathtaking rollercoaster. Fear No Evil told from a few different perspectives, plenty going on in this latest novel. Just as Alex Cross and John Sampson are about to take a break from work, a new mission is brought to them, investigating the murder of a member of the CIA, with cases to follow. Will they get that vacation they needed?... Well worth reading for the storyline and characterisations, and a couple of the chapter-hooks are brilliant. I am a huge fan. I am also a very fast reader. You Mr. Patterson are the only author that has been able to keep up with my reading. I agree with one of your previous fans who said “please no more romance”. You know what your forte is and you are damn good at it. ReplyHowever on the plus side I very much enjoyed The Horsewoman The Jailhouse Lawyer 2 Sisters Detective Agency The President is Missing and The Pesidents Daughter to name but a few! Reply James please stay away from romance ,mills and boon you are not nor do you do 50 shades of grey in a bookshot, this is not your forte In Along Came A Spider, Alex Cross is called in to investigate a case with two dead prostitutes and a baby. Not shortly after, Cross finds he has to contend with psychotic math teacher Gary Soneji. Soneji has kidnapped two children and Cross is pulled off the homicide to cover the kidnapping. Soneji strikes again and murders an FBI Agent who has been talking about Soneji on television. Cross scours the apartment and discovers Soneji’s obsession with the kidnappings and his dream of becoming famous as a criminal. What follows is an elaborate game as Soneji’s personality is unraveled and the mission to retrieve the children plays out. Looked it up – that’s an alternate title for The Cornwalls Are Gone which also has the alternate title of The Cornwalls Vanish. Updated the listing. There is one more book featuring Amy called Count Down. Reply James Patterson is always at his best when writing by himself in my humble opinion, (although I am looking forward to his upcoming book with Dolly Parton!) and this latest brutal and pacy thriller has the usual characters and elements that his readers have grown to love.

The Women’s Murder Club series is comprised of a whopping twelve novels. In this series, a group of professional women work together to solve homicide cases. A reporter, an assistant, a medical examiner, and a homicide detective Women’s Murder Club was adapted into a television series for ABC in 2007. Starring Angie Harmon, the show ran for one season and thirteen episodes until its conclusion in 2008. Great writer love the books BUT a first edition book should be in HARD COVER only. The soft cover books for later publications. I have a hard time finding some hard covers as I have most of the books Patterson has written, app 4 full book selfs Keep it up but more hardcover editions Thanks. Mr Gerry Replyyour books are the best. love all of them. have read all of the Alex Cross. women’s murder club and all of the Private series. can’t wait for the new ones to come out. thank you for the best reading in the world Reply I and my grandma was going through her James Patterson books and she has 32 books and the table is full and when I go to school I’m going to read them and take tests on them because she says that they are amazing and I never heard of them till we went thought the books and now I’m like i want to read every single one over and over again Reply
