The Series 9 was highly anticipated worldwide and it pretty much delivered on the promises, even though not without the usual hiccups along the way. The type 5790 (dry only) Series 9 shavers have been phased out and replaced by the newer wet/dry models. The most important thing you can do to prolong the life of the blades is to clean your shaver after every use and to lubricate it regularly.

BTW, separate issue, the instructions advise to change the cleaning fluid when the lights so indicate.
