About this deal

He tells all about his big break, what filming was really like and the lasting friendships he made during ten years as part of the franchise, as well as the highs and lows of fame and the reality of navigating adult life after filming finished. I believe in the power of stories to bring people together, and nothing does that quite like Harry Potter. My family, and obviously the other Potter cast members, when I sent them the stories to say, "Remember this? it was so cute how he had a chapter talking about emma, rupert and daniel individually, and i don't care what he claims, him and emma watson are in love!

Highly recommend this to all Harry Potter fans, and also just people interested in acting in general. I'm hoping that it will be empowering to other people that they get a chance to know that they're not alone. Now with humor, candor, and a gift for storytelling, Tom shares what it was like to grow up at the center of the zeitgeist, the lasting friendships he made on set, and what it was like to navigate fame after the series was done.If you like biographies that are entertaining, heartwarming and honest - this may be the next book for you. But I'm more than comfortable to share my vulnerability in the hope that other people that are going through similar things won't feel so confined to have to keep them to themselves.

While filming Harry Potter is the bulk of this memoir, Felton also gives readers a taste of what it was like growing up the youngest of four brothers (and how one of those brothers wasn’t exactly the best on-set chaperone), night fishing when he should have been sleeping in preparing for shoots the next day, and getting his acting start in movies like Anna and the King and The Borrowers.

I think we all — in fact, I know we all — when we finished the filming, we fully expected the Potter fandom to sort of start dwindling a bit and maybe start to sort of die down. They had to give him a wedge behind his ears, fake teeth and a little fat suit to stop him looking like the hunk he was becoming. The author’s anecdotes about his co-stars, from Daniel Radcliffe to Judi Dench, are similarly sweet and self-deprecating. I have been a fan of Harry since 2000, a fan of MuggleNet since 2005, and a MuggleNet team member since 2013.It's just that I've obviously seen them at the premieres, and they come on TV at Christmas and stuff. Having just come off of finishing the last 60 pages, I feel like I just went through the most intense emotional whiplash possible.
