At two years plus, you’ll still want a bit of parental control but might be looking at a model where you can remove the handle bar to help them start to propel themselves under their own steam. Happy almost 1st birthday Neve! My friend has a similar trike and they are great right? Love that it grows with your child too.

We want your experience at smarTrike.com to be easy and enjoyable and we hope you found what you were looking for. If you didn’t, and have an inquiry about ourThis would be fab for my little 7 month old boy. We would use it every weekend on our family days out. In the week we would go to the park on it and play in the garden. It would also be really great to take on our UK holiday next month as I need to do lots of walking to lose my baby weight and this would be a great way to all go out together without taking the pushchair. Love it . xx Seat belt and safety bar navigator button to switch from parent control to child control suitable from 10 months to 3 years assemble dimensions: 97l x 49,5W x 102h cm batteries required: 2 x aa batteries (not included) Our aim is to facilitate a connection between parents and children throughout this process, by equipping both children and parents with the tools to navigate the journey of development, embracing the real moments and challenges that arise. By three years old, you’re looking at more of a traditional type of trike, with handlebars and pedals, or possibly a balance bike style where they push themselves along with their feet on the ground. Lovely photos and the trike looks amazing! I think you have a little model in the making there! Reply

Doona trike. The absolute best things I've ever bought for my toddler. Quite pricey but worth every penny imo.” (Tried and tested by Mumsnet user AYearOfCushions) Our verdict Mookie Toys already took the Trike world by storm last year when they first launched the original Smart Trike Recliner in Red and wowed everyone at the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nurnberg. The Trike certainly created a lot of interest and Mookie Toys were overwhelmed then they were presented with the prestigious Toy Innovation Award 2009 – Winning Category ‘Fun + Sport. This vintage-style trike looks beautiful with its chunky, grippy rubber tyres, built in footrest, and steel frame. Unlike the other trikes in our list, the Trybike doesn’t have any pedals and is meant as a safe and sturdy introduction to balance bikes. And once they get bigger and build up their confidence you can use the supplied tools to convert the trike to a balance bike to last them all the way up to 6 years old. The unique 4 in 1 Smart Trike Recliner designed for babies from 6 months and up, provides the child with a safe and comfortable ride. The adjustable seat is equipped with a reclining position to allow baby to nap. The multi-position adjustable handle guarantees an easy solution for the parents to steer and, by releasing the clutch, the child takes control for fun, independent riding. The Smart Trike Recliner includes a washable, quality seat cover and is available in a range of colors together with a useful functional bag.LOs 1st birthday is coming up, and we thought of getting a Smart Trike. He’s an active little chap and loves things that are different and exciting.

The phone accessory on the SmarTrike 5-in-1 Infinity is lots of fun for Neve to play with and at the perfect height. It is so handy to have something at easy reach for them to play with which cannot be dropped or discarded. The phone makes subtle music and sounds – but they are not at all overbearing. Neve found the little ariel perfect for chewing on – extra handy when you have some teeth coming through!

What does an AP parent, who doesn’t like a pushchair, and has a child that hates it, do when out and about? Of course, baby wearing is one option – definitely the best choice we made when Ameli was born, for both colic and for the calmest baby I could have asked for. But, now I have a 19-month old who weighs almost 12kg and where I could carry  her for up to six hours up to a few months ago, she isn’t so keen on that anymore either – she likes to be able to walk, until she’s had enough, and in and out of the sling every five minutes is very fiddly. So, when we were offered a Smart Trike Recliner to try out, I thought, why not. There’s a little bag attached to the parent handle, big enough for a couple of nappies and some wet wipes, my phone and wallet, which is great as there’s no need to take additional bags with when you’re going for a walk, and there’s also a cupholder, perfectly sized for a bottle of water, or a standard take-away coffee size.

We are getting DS a trike as part of his first birthday in June. I’m currently looking at the Kinderkraft Aston or the Q Play Rito” (Recommended by Mumsnetter NEAKT5) Our verdict There are three different foot rest options, which is really great. One of them is the pedals for the “bishishel” as Ameli calls it – that’s bicycle, if you don’t speak Ameli – which she’s still a little small for, so there are two other foot rest options, depending on the position of the seat. The Smart Trike is easy to steer single-handed using the parent handle, although the child is able to control steering from the handlebars, so in crowded places two handed steering is advisable, otherwise you end up going all over the place. The Doona is a great trike to take your child from first wheels to a proper bike. You start with it in Parent Mode from 10-18 months with sides and a canopy to keep your child safe and protect them from the elements. From 18 to 24 months you use it in Push Mode where the sides come off but the parent control bar remains and your child’s feet go on the foot rest. Pedals are added for Tricycle Mode from 24-30 months and then the control bar comes off and they’re off on their own in Bike Mode from 30-36 months.
