Having suffered a lot of leg and hip pain, I've had two sessions with Leon who has really sorted out the problems. I highly recommend this as a beginner friendly Anastasia palette, everyone needs at least one in their collection!

Other people create gorgeous looks with this palette, but for me (and my super-pale skin) it is just too warm toned. I like that there are several lid colours in here and using the foiled yellow gold Bronze creates a completely different look to the warm pinky-purple shimmer Rose Pink. There was a bit of a learning-curve with how these shadows operate (and I'm very unskilled in make-up application), but I have really enjoyed the texture and performance of these shadows and get great use out of them. I tend to gently tap my brush into the product - you definitely don't need to swirl it around or dig in - like I said, they're very pigmented and you don't need a lot on the brush to get that payoff. Three of the shades (Tempera, Burnt Orange and Cyprus Umber) are repeated from the Modern Renaissance, which I know disappointed some people. I think the shimmery shades in the Soft Glam palette are really creamy and the colour pay off is better than Revolution.I would say that the Anastasia shadows are slightly more pigmented but both palettes are just as creamy and blendable. This palette is so easy to blend and the colours complement each other so much that after just a few minutes playing around with the eyeshadows, my eyes looked amazing! I personally can't get enough of it and I guess it says it all that I've used more of it in the two months since getting Soft Glam than in the two years I've had Modern Renaissance!
