Description

Once the system has been set up, information can be accessed securely from within or outside a property if access is an issue. Event logs can be retrieved as many times as necessary and for each alarm on the system, retrieving data such as how many direct button tests have been performed and when, any issues with the battery and/or mains supply, Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels detected if a CO alarm is on the system, Radio Frequency signal strength between alarms, age of alarms and any alarm removed. Our goal is to provide one stop place for electricians and electrical contractors, but we are happy to help other clients too. If the alarms are sounding, there may be a fire present. You should evacuate the property and be absolutely sure there is no fire before returning. If in doubt, always assume there is a real fire present and take the necessary action. Eliminates the need for any cabling between the Ei428 and the smoke, heat and CO alarms used in the system.

The RF range can be extensively improved by either adjusting the wire antenna or by converting the base into a 'repeater' i.e. re-transmission of the RF signals. The product is CE marked to indicate conformance to BS EN 60065:1998 (Electrical Safety), EN300220-1 V1.3.1 (2000-09) (RF Performance), EN301489 V1.4.1 (2002 08) (EMC) and has been 3rd party tested for electrical safety in accordance with Annex K of BS 5446: Pt.1:2000.

Step 8 – The blue LEDs on all units will now stop flashing and the entire system will automatically ‘seal’. The four-digit code shows you the year and week that the alarm was made. The first two digits relate to the year and the second two digits relate to the week.Step 7 – Once the correct number of flashes is present on every unit, insert a screwdriver into the House Code slot on the side of one of the alarms or bases until the blue LED comes on solidly, then release. Above this is the ‘Replace By’ date, but note that the date on the label shows the maximum life of the alarm and alarms should always be replaced before their life is up. A RadioLINK Manual Call Point, Ei407 and remote control switches Ei450, Ei412 and Ei411H are also available for use in the system. See separate specification sheet(s) for further information. If it is a regular single beep (approximately once every minute), then the battery may be running low, and you may need to change the battery in the alarm. This is relevant for the 140RC Series alarms.

In code mode, the amber indicator will flash to indicate the number of other RF alarms that have been 'leaed' in the system Never ignore a beeping alarm, as it is a warning sign of either a danger in the home or that an alarm needs maintenance.
