Description

Engine whining in admonishment, the car makes two, three, four attempts to turn in the narrow street, scraping in its haste against one of the huge sycamore sentries lining the road.

As Ray and Kate drew near to the scene they were stopped by a young PC, his fluorescent jacket zipped so high Ray could barely make out a face between the peak of his hat and his collar. I read it yonks ago when it was first released but gave it another read and it stood the test of time! Although I hate writing such a vague review when I feel the need to discuss the characters and my personal opinion of them, and would like to have the opportunity to drop a few clues that would compel someone to give the book a try, I can tell you that if you like psychological thrillers and mysteries you will most likely appreciate this one and the cunning technique of the author employs.A storming psychological thriller that has everything: breathtaking twists , great pace and pitch-perfect characterisation . The author has written a psychological thriller that may seem to point to certain apparent facts to some readers but turns things around as the story unfolds. Even she can’t say for sure it was there ( ‘The sea washes over the writing I’m now not certain I saw at all.

I was actually wondering after the first little bit why the book had such high reviews and then it smacks you right in the face! I had thought her intact, but as I touch her the clay moves beneath my hands, and I’m left with two broken pieces. I LET YOU GO follows a mother hiding out in a secluded cottage, attempting to heal from her son's untimely loss, and the two detectives tasked with finding the boy's killer.

While listening to this audiobook - during hikes, soaking in the pool, on car rides to the beach with Paul in the car. There is some fantastic descriptions in this book, especially when the author descibes the crash scene and the writing never left me confused and it wasn't too basic. I only let go for a second’ languishes the mother of five year old Jacob Jordan, who’s son is the victim of a hit and run accident, on a cold winter’s night in Bristol, England. Except that this day is different, her son lets go of her hand and is hit by a car and killed instantly.

Half a dozen police cars were strewn haphazardly down the street; lights throwing a blue glow across the scene every other second. She was perpetually in motion: tapping fingers on the steering wheel, screwing up her nose, shifting in her seat.Chances are it is connected with the hit-and-run death of a child that the book opens with, but as a reader, you aren't sure of the connection to Jenna. The last quarter or so of the novel had me flicking through the pages as fast as I could go, as I wanted to see how it all panned out.
