It started with Bloody Bens Bloody Mary Mix, created and perfected at Ben's Canteen (RIP) neighbourhood restaurants in SW London that were famous for Brunch. A: It's a Bloody Mary Mix, the bottle contains all the herbs and spices needed to make the perfect Bloody. Ben’s Canteen there is designed to be a brilliant neighbourhood hangout and having Gin produced onsite seems, to us at least, to be a great extension of that. Bloody Bens’ distillery and bar is open Wednesday-Thursday 5pm-11pm, Friday-Saturday 9am-midnight, Sunday 9am-5pm.

It’s a lovely neighbourhood and the venue was another corner site like the original Ben’s Canteen, so it just made sense. It can also be used in Food, make the best Shakshuka, use it as an awesome Marinade for BBQ Chicken or make an amazing Bloody Mary Ketchup for your Burgers.Unfortunately I wasn’t in to meet Ben but he hand delivered the bottle and gave lots of useful tips, and I’m now looking forward to marinading chicken in it! It’s still a juniper forward spirit and not as sweet as people expect, it isn’t a gin liqueur like many similar products. It’s so great to welcome Bloody Bens to Earlsfield and I’m excited to see (and taste) even more delicious creations, drawing from our local area. The Signature Gin tells the story of me setting up the business, honey for Wandsworth (where I lived for about 15 years) and orange for Mallorca. The Mix was borne out of a frustration that Bloody Marys are generally badly made and don't taste great.

For a long time we've been serious fans of Black Cow Vodka, a Vodka made from Milk and Cheese Making! Just the right amount of spice, although in my opinion, the spicier the better, so you can always add more. Love the packaging of the bottle, eye catching, its vegan so great to be able to use in any cooking dish, makes a great marinade. We’ll be sharing news of our Gin Journey and you can keep up with developments on our Insta feed too.Each time the gas passes through a bubble-plate, it condenses back to a liquid and drips back down the still column. I wanted to open another venue in South West London and Earlsfield felt like an area everyone was starting to move to.
