I've just bought one and it does exactly the same thing, despite saying Jaguar (1994 -2016) on the box. I have used this kit twice on my Range Rover Sport and i'm pleased with the performance of the tool. I did not have any faults, but at least i know that if any do occur, i can diagnose them quickly without wasting time at the garage. While needlessly excessive, as long as you can get the codes pulled, I think you have what you need.

I did just download the lynx evo app on my iPhone and I'm waiting for it to be released fully but it did say it's going to support all Land rovers. As I kept getting a change in diagnostic readings and onboard displays: faulty sensor, battery charge, special functions not avsilable, HDC not working.
