About this deal

Voxelab advertises the Aquila X2 as being compatible with the Ultimaker slicer app Cura, so I created a profile based on the Creality Ender 3 to test it out. So, an easy fix would be to print a filament guide to ensure that the filament gets fed to the extruder under a better angle and eliminate this issue. Please just keep all posts clean so that even children can use this site with their Aquila 3d printers. We have spent years in our homes creating projects, and learning new software and are here to share our learnings here.

The Voxelab Aquila X2 ships in a partially-built state, with the base of the printer and Y-axis already assembled. This is what you might expect with a mid-tier printer, which is big enough for the majority of the items you’ll print. Answer: For the most part, it’s going to be cheaper to build your own 3D printer rather than purchase an already assembled unit.If you don’t mind tinkering a little bit with technical devices, the Voxelab Aquila 3D printer is a solid investment. Considering that this machine is a nearly direct clone of the Ender 3 V2, it’s disappointing to see such a low amount of effort from Voxelab in the area where users will spend most of their time interfacing with the Aquila X2. The printer is silent during operation, but that silence is invalidated by the noisy fans used on the printer. Its user-friendly design and clear instructions make it easy for anyone to set up and start printing in no time. Additionally, you can upgrade the hotend in the future if you plan on doing a lot of printing at higher temperatures. Each thumbscrew is located on a corner of the bed, and they all need to be adjusted manually while tramming the nozzle over the bed to correctly calibrate the printer. This will ensure that the Z axis will not droop by its own and will also eliminate the need of greasing the Z rod in the future. By far, this is my least favorite part of the Aquila X2 due to the distractingly-loud noise generated by these fans.
