Description

For leveling or filling jobs that withstand up to 1000 degreesF, you need High-Temperature Lab Metal. dented metal, prior to powder-coating — when Lab-metal cannot be used due to the extreme temperatures. Thin with Lab Solvent to ease spreadability. Typically dries in 24 hours, heat cure at 425 degF for 1 hour before exposing to high temperatures. Great for filling surfaces before powder coating where 2 or more coats are required.

Heat-resistant glues are formulated to resist higher temperatures of over 300 ℃. These adhesives are alternatives for welding metals which is a costly as well as a risky process. Are heat-resistant adhesives durable? The glue requires just an hour to set and about 8 hours to cure fully, providing convenience to users who may want to sand, paint, or drill the coated surface. Its fast curing time and post-curing versatility are standout features.Hi-Temp Lab-metal is recommended where original Lab-metal may not withstand the extreme heat. Originally developed due to requests from the foundry industry, industries such as metalworking, powder coating, welding, fabricating, heating, construction, auto repair, die casting, mold refinishing, and sheet metal production and finishing have found uses for Hi-Temp Lab-metal. It successfully repairs:

Approved by BUREAU VERITAS for Surface Protection and Cold Repair Products applied to Marine Vessels. Certificate No: 55258/AO BV

Belzona solutions for the repair and rebuilding of metal surfaces and components.

Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour

Hi-Temp Lab-metal is applied directly from the can with a putty knife or similar tool. No two-component mixing or measuring is necessary. Many applications may be made from a single can. After each use, to prevent Hi-Temp Lab-metal from hardening in the can, pour Lab-solvent over the remaining Hi-Temp Lab-metal contents, then cover tightly. (Stir the solvent into the Hi-Temp Lab-metal before using again). Lab-solvent is also used to thin Hi-Temp Lab-metal for brush-on applications. Ideally suited to both structural and non-structural applications, our metal repair products are typically used in castings, jigs, and fixtures while sealing vessels, tanks, pipes, and valves as well as resurfacing worn air seals and filling cavities. Henkel ensures all of our products meet your specifications, with compounds designed for use within a broad range of environments and specific applications. We also like how the formula is water-based, which means any stains or spills can be wiped away easily. The dark color ensures it blends in with surfaces such as granite and stone countertops. Hi-Temp Lab-metal must be stirred thoroughly before use. No additive is needed; the repair compound hardens upon exposure to air. Hi-Temp Lab-metal is a viscous but easily spreadable paste. Upon opening the can, if the Hi-Temp Lab-metal appears stiff, stir in a capful or two of Lab-solvent to restore the product to its appropriate consistency. For any application, the surface must be clean and dry; free of paint, oil, dirt, and any extraneous materials. Roughening the surface provides superior adhesion. Hi-Temp Lab-metal’s shelf life is one year in factory-sealed cans. Store in a cool place. See MSDS for safe handling. EFFECTIVE ADHESIVE AGENT - Developed as an alternative to torch welding, it provides strong and long-lasting repairs to metals and multiple other surfaces. It will bond almost any clean surface that is free of dirt and oil.One of the many reasons why we like this product is because it creates long-lasting bonds even in the most extreme conditions. This adhesive has excellent resistance to harsh weather, moisture, UV rays, and extreme temperatures, making it a reliable product for fixing outdoor objects. But, with all that information, you must be wondering which is the best heat-resistant glue that will fulfill all your needs. You can opt for super glue that works on metal , but remember, not every adhesive for stainless steel is resistant to heat. That’s why we have compiled this list to help you choose the best heat-resistant glue among all the options out there. Heat-resistant adhesives are highly durable sealants that retain their strength even when exposed to extreme temperatures. They can also withstand aggressive environments because of their thermo-oxidative stability and their resistance to chemical reactions. Are hot glue and heat-resistant glue the same? This silicone adhesive from Rutland forms rigid and flexible bonds and works well with a range of materials including metals, plastics, rubbers, and even ceramics.

Furthermore, this adhesive is easy to use. You just need to mix the two pastes, apply the mixture to a surface, and allow it to dry for a few hours. Note that you must follow the volume ratio of 1:1 for the glue to cure effectively. With impressive continuous heat (450°F) and intermittent heat (500°F) resistance, it remains functional under demanding conditions. To apply Hi-Temp Lab-metal with a paint brush, it must be thinned to paint consistency with Lab-solvent, then applied with light brush strokes; not worked over as with paint. Dipping the brush into Lab-solvent periodically will keep the bristles free and prevent clogging.

Let’s take an example of bonding metal to wood; here heat resistant adhesive is a must. Because without proper adhesion, the metal or wood can tear off. If you search for highly-rated glue for metal to wood , you can find most of them are heat-resistant. The KDGENG metal repair gel is a premium adhesive that can withstand high temperatures of up to 150 ℃. This glue provides an extremely solid and long-lasting bond when it gets fully cured. Just give it 24 hours, and it will become strong enough to be machined. Also, this heat-resistant adhesive seals and repairs almost all materials, including glass, mirror, ceramic, plastic, wood, fabric, concrete, metal, and porous surfaces. It’s also capable of creating a solid bond on wet surfaces.
