The first thing I did with my Guaridan amiibo was take pictures of it grabbing other amiibo too, haha!

The art style and the overall design both hit me square in the feels and gave me a thirst for merch. Our Nintendo switch is our first console for us where we can use amiibos so I do not have any prior experience with them. Ash-Greninja · Alph · Baby Luigi · Baby Mario · Bayonetta · Birdo · Blaziken · Bomberman · Chibi-Robo · Cloud · Corrin · Daisy · Digby · Dixie Kong · Fiora · Geno · Ice Climbers · Inkling Boy · Inkling Girl · Isaac · Isabelle · Itsuki · Ivysaur · KOS-MOS · King K.Truth be told, my favourite one for BotW was none other than the Majora's Mask Link amiibo, due to the fact that it randomly dropped Fierce Deity Apparel which was totally incredible to obtain. You can flex and shape them any way you like, and strike an infinite number of poses, including but not limited to: the six-armed handstand, six-pointed starfish, and heck, if you really want, you can even mould them in such a way that you could get it to hold your pen on your desk! I would tell people that I display these figures for my kids; however, if they weren't so memorable or detailed they would never be displayed at all. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017) Guardian is a figure from the second Wave of The Legend of Zelda line of Amiibo.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I'm a collector (I don't resell them) and I am very impressed with the design and packaging of the Guardian. You can customize the legs of the guardian since it is made of a flexible, but sturdy plastic material (though I wouldn't do it too often). It has a NFC (near field communicater) in its base that can be used once a day to unlock materials and weapons not readily available in game (on both Wii U and Switch versions). According to the Japanese Nintendo’s homepage they started selling it this year around March in Japan.

Game and Watch which is one of the only other Amiibo where it is easy to change the pose whenever you’d like. The initial reveal of the Guardian at E3 in 2014, in particular, was an opportunity to gawp at the octopus-like dexterity of Link's latest foes. While the Guardian doesn’t have any particular detail that catches the eye (outside of maybe the pink), it looks really good and Nintendo did really well with this part of the Amiibo.

Embedded within the six foam rubber legs are bendable metal rods that can be moulded and twisted to your every whim. The limbs do not stretch but they can be positioned in any direction and you can bend them to make them pretty expressive. I, myself, have a pretty decent collection of Nintendo Nendoroids developing and these Japanese made figures are known for being some of the highest quality figures around. NFC functionality is always a bone of contention with these things, and it's invariably quite rare that an amiibo has such a range of games available to have it used within. Those collaborative efforts always looked slightly off, too rigid and lacking in vibrance or solid artistic look.
