It makes you relive watching the show for the first time and it makes you love and break right along with Connell and Marianne. His plays include Howie the Rookie (winner of the George Devine Award), Made in China, Crestfall, Terminus, Our Few and Evil Days (winner of Best New Play at the Irish Times Theatre Awards) and The Approach. the book was very internal and subtle but you got to actually SEE marianne and connell’s thoughts throughout. Normal People: The Scripts is a fantastic edition with beautiful endpapers to snapshots of the show throughout. There is so much to say about Rooney’s fiction—in my experience, when people who’ve read her meet they tend to peel off into corners to talk.

The novel touches on class, politics, and power dynamics and brims with the sparky, witty conversation that Rooney’s fans will recognize.Rooney] has invented a sensibility entirely of her own: sunny and sharp, free of artifice but overflowing with wisdom and intensity. With classics such as Ted Hughes's The Iron Man and award-winners including Emma Carroll's Letters from the Lighthouse, Faber Children's Books brings you the best in picture books, young reads and classics. When the TV show came out I was elated, but I feared that it wouldn't adapt very well because so much of the book is spent in Marianne and Connell's heads.
