Continuing to honor the 50 th anniversary of Hip Hop in 2023, Sony Music Entertainment (SME) and Certified proudly present Cypress Hill’s Black Sunday Expanded 30 TH Anniversary Edition digital release, out July 20, 2023.

Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. Black Sunday is the second studio album by American hip hop group Cypress Hill, released on July 20, 1993 by Ruffhouse and Columbia Records. Now to mark the 30th anniversary, two new remixes are available for fans on 12” black vinyl; “Insane in the Brain” from the esteemed DJ/Producer Statik Selektah, and “Hits From The Bong” crafted by the album’s original producer himself DJ Muggs.

Irrespective of the source, all of our collectables meet our strict grading and are 100% guaranteed. Bolstered by the bonus material and the legendary 14-track rollercoaster, the 30 Th Anniversary Edition invites complete immersion in the inimitable sonic framework of the LP and the culture of Black Sunday. More recently Get On Down has added funk, soul, and jazz albums that were integral to the foundations of Hip-Hop.

It's a slightly darker affair than its groundbreaking predecessor, with the threats of violence more urgent and the pot obsession played to the hilt (after all, it was a crucial part of their widespread appeal). Get On Down is proud to present a deluxe and expanded limited edition pressing of Cypress Hill's best selling album. Condition - This item is in Excellent condition or better (unless it says otherwise in the above description). In partnership with Certified, Get On Downwill be reissuing Cypress Hill’s second studio album on vinyl for the 30th Anniversary of the release with the original tracklist from 1993 plus three bonus tracks that were previously on 12-inch singles including the B-Side fan favorite “Scooby Doo”. On July 20, 1993, Los Angeles hip-hop legends Cypress Hill unleashed their sophomore opus, Black Sunday, on the unsuspecting masses.

The album starts out with "I wanna get high" which sets the tone as to where the Hill are coming from, but then it explodes with "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That". Founded in 2010 Get On Down has reissued classic Hip-Hop albums spanning the 80s, 90s and 2000s on vinyl, CD, cassette, 7-inch, and as deluxe box sets and limited edition bundles celebrating landmark releases. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered.

When listening to their first 3 albums back to back then jumping onto their most recent album 'elephants on acid' the continuity of their work is second to none, absolutely epic group. The album will be pressed on double-colored vinyl and packaged in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves and a commemorative numbered OBI limited to 1,993 copies worldwide. Takes me back to my youth this, I bought it for a friend who missed out on them first time around and I wanted her to know yet another reason why 90's was a great time for music. The two remixes are amongst Cypress’ biggest catalog tracks, “Insane In The Brain,” from veteran DJ/Producer Statik Selektah, and “Hits From The Bong,” by none other than DJ Muggs himself. The seller was very great with communication and always had a positive attitude and was always nice and understanding when there was a little issue.
