When She Unravels is an 18+ dark mafia romance with mature themes, profanity, and plenty of steam. It's book one in The Fallen series but can be read as a standalone.

It was so much better than I expected. The story of Valentina & Damiano is beautiful, heartbreaking and exciting. The writing style is awesome! If you're looking for a perfect book to get you out of a reading slump or cheer up your day this IS the one because I'm not lying when I say I finished in one sitting. When she unravels is a perfect well paced mafia romance story with dual povs and the right amount of spice that'll leave you sweating balls .I loved it. I loved the characters bonding over their issues and pasts, the character development, and the aspect of Martina regaining her confidence and building her character. It gave found family vibes although I’m sure that Ras and Gemma’s book will give that even more. I’m so glad that I give this one the time of day because it totally deserved it. WST is just as good as WSU. They’re both on the same tier for me, since they both handle different aspects and issues and have different tropes. (Although I’m kinda biased to WSU, just a little bit) 🤏 I’ve been raised to be the perfect mafia wife, but when my marriage turns into a horrific nightmare, I have no choice but to leave everything behind and start a new life. Valentina is a mafia princess who isn’t your typical princess. Her forced mafia husband forces her to do awful things and when Vale gets the opportunity to run she does. She runs all the way to Ibiza where she meets Mr. De Rossi. De Rossi is a business mongol who owns most of the island, especially the partying business. There is an instant connection of attraction which leads to obsession from both sides. De Rossi can’t understand why but he wants to protect her while trying to run his businesses. As the plot goes along, you find out that both of them have their own secrets that leads them to become enemies for a short period. Even though they become enemies, they are still lovers and wanting to help each other. They eventually work out their issues and work together to destroy her husband and De Rossi’s rivals. After having read the first book and enjoying it I was worried this one would be the exact same but with different name. How wrong was I. This was excellent and exactly what I needed after a fluffy sweet romance. I’d say this was somewhat dark but not Pepper Winters dark if ya know what I mean! I really enjoyed the premise of this book. We get to meet Valentina and what is going on in her life and it's not good. She was forced to marry her father's best soldier and during the 2 months they were married he made her do horrific acts that will never leave her. I was horrified when it was described and especially how her mother/father knew about it all and what she was being forced to do and yet they didn't care and believed it to be his wifely duties.The first book in The Fallen series. This book tells the story of Damiano De Rossi and Valentina Garzolo Conte. This book could be a 5 stars for me. But, I'm not a fan of insta love they have. It could've been a great enemies to lovers. a romance between ONE heroine and MULTIPLE heroes which ends A place for book lovers who love to read menage romances which contain polyandry i.e. When She Unravels is written by Gabrielle Sands. It is a mafia dark romance book and is a very well-done book with lots of twists and turns. It’s the first in the Fallen series. It has gray-morally main characters of both genders, an instant obsession love, and the main female character grows in strength over the course of the story. we got his POV too early. We meet him through the h’s POV around 15%… and their encounter builds a little tension, but it is IMMEDIATELY softened by his POV. There was no point to it and took away all the mystery and intensity. I wish she’d used his POV with more intent. (I do appreciate that we started with the h, tho)
