The LP-E6NH battery is the most powerful in the LP-E6 battery line and the latest generation battery produced by Canon. It has a power rating of 2,130mAh, which is 14% more than LP-E6N. So overall the EP-E6Nh is the winner. Not only does it has a bigger capacity but also it charges faster than the older one. LP-E6N vs LP-E6NH: Which One To Choose? I hope you know everything about LP-E6N vs LP-E6NH. I have tried to cover the major things that differentiate the two lenses. Even a small 10000mAHr power bank can give up to two times the battery life of R5's internal battery. Below, we’ll take a look at how the LP-E6N vs. LP-E6NH compare on a variety of features and answer some important questions you may have. LP-E6N vs. LP-E6NH Comparison Table FeaturesHave you bought one of the several Canon cameras that use the LP-E6N or LP-E6NH battery? Or bought one of these batteries to use with an older Canon camera, and are wondering how they compare? Then you’ve come to the right place. The LP-E6N can be used in Canon cameras that use the LP-E6NH, such as the EOS R5 and R6. However, since it’s less powerful, some of the settings and features that require more processing power won’t function at all or as well, and battery life will be shorter.

Where you consistently see a difference between the LP-E6N and LP – E6NH is in filming. If you’re consecutively filming videos, the LP-E6NH in the R6 can film in 4k/25 for 1 hour and 47 minutes, and can film in FHD/25 for approximately 2 hours and 48 minutes. When the LP-E6N was used in the R6, it was able to film for 26-29% less than the LP-E6NH. Are the LP-E6N & LP-E6NH Interchangeable? After all, they share the same dimension and voltage. The only thing they don’t have in common is the capacity. Selected EOS cameras can communicate with the LP-E6NH to determine battery serial number, remaining capacity, shutter count after charging, recharge performance and date of last use The newer LP-E6Nh is hard to beat in this game. It has a lot of power to run your high-end Canon cameras. And the best thing is it comes at a cheap price.LP-E6N and LP-E6NH are batteries for Canon’s high-end DSLR cameras. After coming out the LP-E6NH created a bit of confusion among the canon users. Also, these other 3 USB power options will require buying a USB-C cable that’s compatible with your camera. If you don’t want to buy a more expensive USB-C cable from Canon and you’re using the EOS R5, R6, or R7, this one from Anker comes highly recommended by Canon users. What Cameras Is the LP-E6NH Compatible With? Plus, using this configuration, I have no worry that I might miss a good shot while I am changing battery

It comes with a larger capacity at a cheaper price. And also it delivers more power than the older one. Most of the older Canon camera batteries can’t be charged without a charger. However, the newer Canon camera batteries, especially the LP-E6N and LP-E6NH, can be charged via USB.

Customer reviews

Charge the LP-E6NH battery with a standard LC-E6 / LC-E6E mains charger or – with compatible EOS bodies – in-camera using a PD-compatible USB power source As I broke down the differences between the Lp-E6N and LP-E6NH, I will recommend you to go for the LP-E6NH. You can also use a power delivery USB adapter, power bank, or a USB-C port on your laptop. Keep in mind, however, that your USB power options will be limited if you’re using an older Canon camera. For example, if you’re using the Canon 60D, you’ll need to use the USB charging cable that comes with it. The EP-E6NH has a 14% larger capacity than the older EP-E6N. also, the battery charges very fast than the older one.

You can use LP-E6NH in the older cameras. But you will find some hard times wif you use the LP-E6N in the M5 or M6. Cause the camera shoots very high-resolution images and it has a very power-hunger processor. And the BP-511 battery line, which was used in the Canon DSLR cameras before the 60D came out, would use a different charger, and so on and so forth. Can I Charge My Canon Camera Battery without a Charger? It is possible to use USB-C charging. But according to the manual it won’t charge the battery while in use, but will power the camera. It does need a battery in the camera to be powered. I tested this claim out with my MBP’s charger and it seems to be correct. Upon auto power off (sleep) the battery starts to charge.
