Description

Common Brass or Yellow Brass (CZ108) is composed of 37% Zinc, offering good strength, water resistance and corrosion resistance – with excellent cold working properties. Brass of high grade is the main metal that come in handy with the brass fasteners, the material range from brass rods, hollow pipes or brass metal sheets depending on the product's requirement of manufacture.

A wide variety of screws and bolts are available now including a selection of hex head screws, machine screws, and thumb screws. These are predominantly supplied in metric thread, with some imperial thread screws and bolts also available. Fasteners are quite essential in joining, connecting or permanent fixing of various components in a unit or gadget. Our brass fasteners are used in various industries because of their complying measurements and dimensions that suit many requirements of the market. Geomet is an improved and modern version of the weather-resistant galvanised finish, which does not change the fastener size. It is comprised of aluminium and zinc flakes in a binder fluid, and does not contain chrome. A layer of Geomet gives a metallic silver appearance, conducts electricity well, and provides optimum anti-corrosion and friction performance. Yellow Zinc Plating Fasteners All stainless steel must contain at least 10% chromium, which helps it to resist corrosion. A2 (Type 304) and A4 (Type 316) are both very rust-resistant grades of stainless steel, but A2 can tarnish eventually. A4 is known as ‘marine grade’ stainless steel – it has a better level of corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use with chloride spray, solvents or chemicals.

Brass Round Combination Wood Screw

Also known as CZ122, this type is composed of roughly 39% Zinc with 3% Lead to provide excellent machinability, as well as a higher degree of strength and corrosion resistance. Which material is best for nuts, bolts and screws? Does it matter if fasteners are galvanised or left bare to the elements? The short answer is: it depends! When choosing stainless steel nuts, bolts and screws, consider their environment. A2 is often up to the job, but if you need industrial-strength resistance, A4 can be cost-effective. Like all metals, stainless steel is a relatively good conductor of electricity. Nylon & Plastic Fasteners Keep casement windows securely closed with our Carlisle Brass casement fasteners. We have available modern and traditional fasteners in various designs and finishes. This includes polished chrome casement fasteners, satin stainless steel square casement fasteners, Florentine bronze casement fasteners and polished brass casement fasteners.

Furniture Construction: These screws are ideal for assembling furniture pieces, such as cabinets, tables, chairs, and shelving units. They provide secure and durable connections that withstand the test of time. Cabinetry and Joinery: Brass woodscrews are commonly used in cabinetry and joinery projects, ensuring reliable fastening for cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and other woodworking components. We also supply custom manufactured Brass fasteners in non-standard sizes, grades and finishes to meet your requirements – including bespoke fasteners made to specification and drawings. Sharp Points and Threads: These screws are designed with sharp points and deep threads that allow for easy and precise penetration into wood. The threads provide excellent grip and holding power, ensuring a secure and solid connection. Outdoor Suitability: The corrosion-resistant nature of brass makes these screws suitable for outdoor use. They can withstand exposure to moisture, humidity, and other environmental elements without compromising their performance or appearance. Fasteners come in a variety of different materials, such as steel, brass, or even plastic. Finishes can include galvanised, plated and natural self colour. When choosing which fastener material or finish you need, consider what it will be used for. Will it be exposed to water or electricity? How strong does it need to be? Does it need to match aesthetically?

Brass fasteners are primarily an alloy of Copper and Zinc providing anti-rust, non-magnetic and corrosion resistant properties. There are over 60 different types of Brass that host varying characteristics, depending on the alloy proportion and composition. Rust Resistance: Unlike steel screws, brass wood screws possess natural resistance to rust. This inherent quality allows them to maintain their integrity and functionality over an extended period, making them a more reliable option for furniture and door installations. Nylon fasteners are often used in electronics. They’re lightweight, resistant to chemicals and corrosion, and offer a high level of insulation and tensile strength. Plastic nuts, bolts and screws also melt rather than burn – making them ideal for projects where fire-resistance is a priority. However, they’re unsuitable for outdoor use and very high temperatures.Door Installations: Brass wood screws offer a reliable choice for attaching door hinges, handles, and other hardware. They provide a strong and secure connection, ensuring smooth door operation. We supply a variety of Brass components including screws, nuts, washers and spacers – typically available in either:

At Venus Enterprise,we manufacture precise industrial Brass Plated Fasteners. We are the leading brass pipe fittings suppliers, and brass fasteners exporters in India as well as in countries world-wide. Unlike mild steel, brass does not become brittle at low temperatures, which is good for screws and fixings and often sets the standard by which the machinability of other materials is judged.

Types of Fastener Finish: An Extra Layer of Protection

Countersinking Capability: Many brass woodscrews come with countersinking heads, allowing them to sit flush with the wood surface. This creates a seamless and professional finish while minimising the risk of tripping or snagging. Yellow zinc plating is similar to bright zinc plating (BZP), but adds an iridescent golden sheen. Like BZP, it is applied using a current of electricity and does not increase the fastener size like galvanisation. It also offers some corrosion resistance, but should not be used outdoors or underwater. Yellow zinc is commonly used in the car and automotive industry.
