It too was loaded with a high explosive charge, as well as mines, but by the time it was ready for action the war was nearly over and it was never used. Similarly, a 12-foot (3.7 m) Motorized Submersible Canoe, which was called ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and was intended to be used by a frogman to carry out reconnaissance or sabotage, also never actually saw action – collapsible canoes tended to be used for such purposes instead.
