About this deal

I've been using this vacuum for months now, and I can safely say that I'm a fan. You can set it up and use it without fuss (or needing to wait for charge), it has excellent suction, and the controls and look of it are expensive. The added attachments are all useful and worth their place in the box, and I love using the long wand to get under my sofas and bed on my rounds around my flat. The length of the hose enables you to get into hard-to-reach areas, and up numerous steps on the staircase without having to move the cylinder often. The wand even offers enough reach to clean around your ceilings.

Bagged/bagless: Bagged | Capacity: 4.5 litres | Weight: 7.3 kg | Run time: N/A | Charging time: N/A | Included tools: Hose, tube and floorhead, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, TurboBrush What we like It’s hard to know how many bags you will throw away during the lifetime of your vacuum, but it’s safe to say it is not having a positive impact on the environment. The Shark DuoClean & Anti Hair Wrap Bagless Cylinder Pet Vacuum CZ500UKT has many benefits, but it's fair to say it's not a super slim vac. It arrived in my flat in a pretty large box, and it was heavy to get up even one flight of stairs. The unboxing process was fine, though it seems like things could have been squeezed in more efficiently. Many modern cylinder vacuum cleaners come with a host of fancy features. These can be useful, but don't fork out money for tech that you don't need or won’t use. Allergy sufferers appreciate the fact that Dyson cyclones capture microscopic particles down to 0.5 microns in size, including pollen, mould and bacteria.

Not only is this an economical choice based on the price you pay for it, but it saves money long-term in electricity costs since the motor is efficient. Add to that the savings in vacuum bags and HEPA filters, and you have a winning formula for a vacuum. HEPA filters trap dander, dust mites and other allergens in the vacuum leaving the air clean for allergy sufferers. The Dyson Multi-floor bagless vacuum is ideal as a primary vacuum if you have a large area that needs cleaning. Bagged/bagless: Bagless | Capacity: 1.6 litres | Weight: 7.7kg | Run time: N/A | Charging time: N/A | Included tools: Turbine head, tangle-free turbine tool, combination tool, stair tool What we like

But the part I love the most is that it comes with the anti-hair wrap head which stops hair getting tangled around it, between my wife and my dog I’d end up having to flip up our upright vacuum at least once a month to cut away all the hair so it can still vacuum properly.

What’s the best Shark cylinder vacuum cleaner?

I've got 2 dogs, and recently bought a Shark Pet cylinder cleaner. It's amazing.” Tested by Mumsnetter sueelleker Our verdict As I said, there are not a lot of luxury add-ons, so there isn’t too much left to say except this: if you want an easy and efficient way to clean your carpets, for the price you will be hard-pressed to find a more powerful bagless vacuum. A wet-and-dry version of the Henry, known as the George, features in our roundup of the best carpet cleaners.
