Since 1982, PCMag has tested and rated thousands of products to help you make better buying decisions. See how we test. Small details have been made in other areas too, including red thumb screws and PCI slot shields on the rear of the case. Popping off the glass side window opens up the vast innards of the H710i. Inside, you'll see a small plaque to showcase the fact this is indeed a limited-edition case. Then there's a red-painted metal bar that reaches the top of the case from the PSU shroud. Do you have any questions not covered by this FAQ? Please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team or join the Official NZXT Community Discord to keep up to date on our latest products, upcoming sales, and join in on discussions on everything from PC hardware to gaming.

The GPU average dT places the H710 between the H500M Mesh and the 570X on the chart. It’s not a bad score, and it’s again a couple degrees cooler than the H700i’s initial result of 52.5C dT. NZXT’s choice to ship with four fans is a valid way of making up the gap between it and cases with better airflow potential. Blender - CPU & GPU Isolated Renders There's an RGB and fan controller that's installed just behind this bar and is hooked up to two RGB LED strips preinstalled by NZXT at the factory. There's space for an additional RGB channel, but all three fan ports are occupied by three fan splitters ready for all your favorite case blowers. The H710i is a superb case, and the limited-edition Cyberpunk version takes the design to a whole new level. It's gorgeous to look at. If you're a fan of the H series from NZXT and need a new gaming PC case to build your next dream rig inside (and plan on playing some Cyberpunk 2077), this is the case to go for. It's a little on the pricey side, but well worth it. The torture workload got the CPU to 51.9C dT average, and 46.3 dT average with the front panel removed. That’s a reasonably-sized gap and indicates that the front panel isn’t completely ruining thermals, but part of that is the fact that there are three intake fans capable of forcing air through. The dust filter is behind the front panel directly over the fans, so the perforations on either side of the front panel aren’t meant to be filters and could be completely open like the 465X. The running theme with NZXT H-series cases (perhaps excluding the H510 Elite) is thermal performance that we grudgingly admit is adequate, while at the same time airflow has been sacrificed for aesthetic reasons.

Turning the H710i around we see a small piece of plastic with the company name (attached onto the thumbscrew area of the left side panel), an AER F140 fan (1000RPM/68.95CFM/29dBA), 9 PCI expansion slots (7 horizontal + 2 vertical) and the PSU area. As always, the purpose of this section is not to build a functional system but rather to showcase what you can expect from the case at hand in terms of interior space. Some of the main product features are described on the left side of the box just over the color selection and barcode. The H710i is a dual chamber design case and as you can see it has two 2.5" trays on top and one at the front. The NZXT H710 and H710i are virtually identical. The only real difference is that the H710i has integrated RGB lighting and a smart controller for fans and leds compared to the H710.

Due to the patented cable management system, there are no "regular" grommets on the motherboard tray (minus the usual CPU cut out). Furthermore, both the H710 and H710i come pre-installed with RGB lighting, which adds character to your finished build by utilizing the tempered glass side panel. They both have enough space inside, which can support the same number of fans and radiators. The NZXT H710i may not be the largest or most feature-rich mid-tower in the market today (nor the best looking one for that matter) but it’s also something we don’t see a lot in the market since it combines everything that matters namely good looks with spacious interior and a good set of features. The cable management design works very well, the dual ARGB LED strips look nice (thanks to the smart device V2 controller) and as for the 4 pre-installed AER fans well they provide plenty of airflow inside the case. The ability to also mount 280/360mm radiators at the front and top of the case is also welcome and should come very handy for people looking to equip the H710i either with one or more AIO’s or a custom water cooling kit. As for the NZXT CAM software well it may not be the why I’d choose the H710i for (I think its design needs a bit of work) but it’s always nice to have something with which not only can you control the looks of the tower but also its cooling. There's plenty of space for long PSUs even with the default drive cage position (if you need more just push it to the left). To summarize this review, both the NZXT H710 and H710i offer luxury with simplicity and durability. They are arguably classy, stylish, and premium, with the high build quality. The H710 and H710i are both excellent cases, and each of them has outstanding characteristics that contribute to its effectiveness. The factors to consider before deciding between the two are summarized below. To access the right side, you just need to push this button (which in turn releases the right side panel). For as long as I can remember, I've had love of all things tech, spurred on, in part, by a love of gaming. I began working on computers owned by immediate family members and relatives when I was around 10 years old. I've always sought to learn as much as possible about anything PC, leading to a well-rounded grasp on all things tech today. In my role at PCMag, I greatly enjoy the opportunity to share what I know. Due to potential airflow restrictions, we only recommend using a two-slot or thinner card when vertical mounting in the H710i. You can remove the fascia by pulling it to access the front air-filter and the 3 AER F120 fans (1200RPM/50.42CFM/28dBA).

The NZXT H710 is a slight refresh of the H700 that we reviewed two years ago. To be precise, we reviewed the Smart Device-equipped H700i, but NZXT did us the favor of sending us the base version this time. The appearance and features of the case are almost identical to the original H700, so we’ll focus on cataloguing any minor changes and seeing how the H700 case design holds up in 2019. Building a PC can be a difficult task. Every small detail, from the processors to the RAM, must be scrutinized. The computer case is one area that many people overlook, and however, it is one of the most important decisions you will make when building your PC. All NZXT cases with an external USB Type-C connector will require a USB 3.1 Gen 2 connector on the motherboard. While there are adapters that exist to allow you to convert a Gen 2 cable to work with a Gen 1 connector, we do not recommend the use of these adapters as they can lead to compatibility or reliability issues. Can I install two 360mm radiators at the same time in the H710 series? After giving it much thought, we decided on performing noise tests with each PC Case we receive by placing our ExTech HD600 vertically on top of each case to measure the noise levels emanating from the pre-installed fans at both 50% and 100% with the help of a fan controller (if the case doesn't have one, we use our own). The NZXT H7 Elite is good for those who want to create a statement visually with the front window, whereas the normal H7 would have been good for those who don't wish to pay as much if the H7 Flow didn't cost the same. This makes it the best NZXT H7 option for those who don't want more than one tempered-glass panel (and the included RGB/fan controller hub).

Worth mentioning is that if you own other NZXT compatible devices you can sync the effects with those as well and you can control attached fans.PC cases not only protect your motherboard, processor, and graphics card from debris, dust, and other environmental hazards, but they also provide ventilation for your motherboard, processor, and graphics card, ensuring that everything stays nice and cool. On this side we also see the front radiator area, cable management channels, two more SSD trays, 3,5" drive cage and the PSU area.
