lasts and lasts and lasts all day and night, although that gorgeous opening vanishes in about 30 minutes. The drydown is a bit different from Elixir but the opening smells exactly like elixir, and with probably my favorite looking bottle in my collection (it's simply beautiful) I don't think I have any cons apart from the drydown being less spicy than elixir. Inspired by the Arabic words, ‘Latif’ for kindness and ‘Lateefa’ for pleasant, Lattafa resonates with the luxury and elegance of the Arabian culture and it vividly captures the essence of its glorious heritage in its captivating fragrance. Performance is very good. I applied liberally after shower and got 10 hours noticeable performance out of it. Projection is about 1.5 arms length although I do prefer more intimate projection but 2 people immediately noticed at that range and I received one compliment. Can't speak of sillage. I have to retract my previous review which was written after wearing in a sterile AC'd environment. In the heat of summer, this stuff turned into a straight up yankee candle on my skin. Yankee candle vanilla plus intense nuclear, scratchy, oudy, trigeminal-sensation-causing norlimbinal in the base makes this a chore to wear. I have grown to detest these norlimbanol perfumes for some reason (which is both weird and funny, because I love all sorts of blatantly synthetic aromachemicals including the trendy akigalawood) and this one has just as much as the previous worst offender: Frank Olivier Oud Touch.

According to the general consensus, this is supposed to be a clone of Dior Sauvage Elixir. I haven’t smelt Sauvage elixir, though, so I’ll review this one as its own thing. While vanilla’s sweetness pairs well with the sweeter spice nuances that fade as the wear continues. For those familiar with high-end perfumes, Asad could be likened to Dior Sauvage Elixir's relative, boasting similar qualities without the high-end price. It's an affordable luxury, capable of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with industry heavyweights. Please note that the fragrance notes have been provided by Lattafa Perfumes Industries L.L.C and have not been constructed. Ingredients Delivery Delays: Soghaat is not accountable for delays due to Customs inspections or other factors beyond our control. While we can't be held responsible for courier delays, your money is safe with us, and we work diligently to ensure swift deliveries. You'll receive what you've paid for, but please note that delays during transit are beyond our control. The bottle is okay for the price. In short: A really good perfume with a really good H/S and a fierce price / performance. Properly overdosed, this fragrance can be very penetrating. I don't allow myself to spend the kind of prices Sauvage Elixir retails for on a fragrance so I decided to take the plunge with Lattafa's more affordable option instead. Well, I wasn't disappointed. Asad was most surely inspired by the Dior, of course it's not 100% alike but there's no denying the similarity. I find the opening of Asad a little less remarkable or 'bright' than Elixir's, but I don't mind this too much as even though some character is perhaps lost, I find the drydown to be the nicest part!

There's some unmistakable Swiss Arabian Casablanca DNA in here and I once accidentally approximated this same apple pie effect by layering Qasamat Ebhar with Initio's Side Effect that was already dying down after the end of a long workday. However, that was nowhere near as scrumptious or hunger-inducing. My guess is the praline note present in Khamrah, Ebhar and Side Effect is pulling its weight in amplifying their gourmand-ness. I didn't know what to expect from this and got my bottle about ten days ago and I have to admit, I absolutely love this BONUS*** elixir is literally like 19 times more expensive (not 19 or 9 or even really 2 times better) As the fragrance settles, about half an hour in, the heart of Asad takes center stage. It's not just a transition; it's a narrative shift. Patchouli, iris, and coffee notes intertwine and project like whispers from a Turkish café, retaining the initial sweetness but introducing a more profound, dusky character. In essence, Asad is a reminder that the finest scents, like life's most profound experiences, require time and belief to fully reveal their splendor. The notes of Khamrah are a delightful blend of coziness and sweetness, creating an inviting aura perfect for a close encounter around a fireplace on Christmas Eve. Its warm and comforting essence adds a touch of magic to the festive season, making it an ideal choice for those special holiday moments.

I dont’t know if it smells close to Angels Share as I don’t have it,never been into gourmand perfumes until now. Apart from that: Asad is a really good fragrance for the cold season. Well dosed, but not overdosed, the fragrance is well received by other people. Especially if you haven't built up any interpersonal hatred beforehand. For the price, I consciously say that it is a good blind buy candidate. s review captures my experience as well. This is NOT blind buy safe (even though that's what I did) and--though I enjoy many if not all the notes Fragrantica lists here--I personally cannot stand Asad. Even after the fabled and much ballyhooed maceration my nose finds this fragrance more than a little off-putting. Like wearing-half-a-bottle-of-Drakkar-Noir-on-a-sweltering-hot-day or an-overdose-of-Axe-in-a-very-tight-space levels of off-putting. More than once I've questioned if the bottle I have contains the same juice as what others here discuss. I seriously don’t know how Lattafa supposedly cloned Sauvage Elixir with whole different and unrelated notes! Makes me think they lie a lot about their notes. Asad is an extremely appealing frag for me as its almost a perfect spicy winter marvel. As for its Suavage Elixir similarities, I can say its literally the mid-down of Elixir as someone had said, so its a lot more tonned down and resultantly more wearable but make no mistake Elixir, even with a louder (read - harsher) opening and more complex profile, somehow smells slightly higher quality as one would expect, but that difference is not evidently perceptible and definitely not justifiable considering the vast price gap.

For reference Im not into very fresh, floral, citruses…so for me most “summer scents” don’t work as these ones are the ones recommended for summer.

Now compared to Angels Share, this has no apple note (to my nose), it's jsut focused on the spice and warmth, it has typical arabian fragrance scent, whereas Angels Share is much sweeter, with that hypnotising boozyness and prominent apple pie. The spiciness here can be offputting if you aren't accustomed to it as it is not a typical vanilla forward frag by any means; and it is not distinctly sweet either. Now more importantly, if you try it (and you definitely should) then make sure you try on SKIN and not on a strip. I say this becuase I tested this on strip and I was sold; however, testing today on skin (thankfully still from a sample) it brings out much more spiciness that feels a tad bit cloying in the opening and messy on my skin and turns slightly putrid-spicy on the extreme dry-down. This will obviously not be the case for everyone and it smells great on clothes otherwise. Performance is great, lasts for 6-8 hours on my skin (continues as a faint skin scent after for a longer time) and projects loud for the initial 2-3 hours.

This is AMAZING. It's for when you want to wear Sauvage EDT but to somewhere where you'd have to dress a little bit better like a high end club or a fancy dinner party.
