The porch is spacious and can be used to cook in with care, but did let some water in at the sides during some wet and windy weather. I have since sewn in a couple of extra pegging points to the sides of the porch and this has since completely cured the problem. The tension bands are a good addition to the stability of the tent but being a tunnel I have not ever managed to get the main tent section really tight which can make the tent quite noisy in strong winds. I bought the tent for use as a standby for my large tent and I used this tent for wild camping in Scotland and the ease at which the tent went up amazed me (as a seasoned camper).

i say buy an extra tent and extra bag and strap it onto the the dog and make it carry it for you then give the dog its own room to stink up haha Given the fair weather conditions, it didn't receive too much of a bashing from the weather but excellent when it did rain. Really sturdy on the tension system alone so wind wasn't a problem.Good Points: After one practice it took about 5 minutes to get the tent pitched and ready for use, I decided to keep all the clips connected after my practice run as this would save time later and it did. it has a large interior for one person and you can easily fit all your walking equipment inside and if using it for two people it has a roomy porch area for use as extra storage, which you could cook in. It has enough ventilation and there was no trouble with condensation. It has a low profile so does not stand out in the countryside. I would recommend this tent for two people as you could share the weight, one person carrying this in the mountains would easily tire. Only complaint was I'd love it to have been a tiny bit taller, but obviously for a tent this size it's to be expected. Still was able to sit up in it, get changed, etc. Comfortably fit me, my bag and Thermarest mattress in, but can't say I'd recommend it for two person use. I'm looking at the Vango Halo 300 or the Tempest 300, has anyone had one of these and can they confirm the 3 person-ness of these tents?
