If teamed with Bluetooth speakers, there’s also a pleasingly sleek layout too without a snaking network of cables to worry about hiding. It's ideal for those who care about the environment and sustainability, and it's not too daunting to set up either, even for those new to turntables. In this guide, we'll break down how to fix the majority of your Roku problems, as well as diagnose some quick fixes for other problems you're likely to encounter while using a Roku TV or other Roku device. House of Marley also bundles the Stir It Up Lux with smaller bookshelf speakers if you want to purchase both the turntable and speakers in one go. I used the Lux’s built-in preamp ,as well as an external Schiit Mani phono preamp, played through newer Wharfedale Diamond bookshelf speakers. And even the Rega Planar 1 does not have a great spec for wow and flutter; I cannot find a published spec but I believe it is around 0. Drilled into that fabric, on the right-hand side, there's a headphone/aux socket, while just above that, on the plinth, are the on/off switch and rotary speed selector (45/33rpm). With all that black fabric attached to the edges, you could be fooled into thinking there's a speaker built into this turntable.

I found the anti-skate was “pullier” than usual as well, and I had to dial it back almost to zero to prevent the tonearm from pulling back before the end of a side. With a name like Marley attached to this turntable, you would expect a unit that can handle the big-time reggae bass lines that make the genre so popular, and this turntable passes this test quite thoroughly. The House of Marley Stir It Up Wireless turntable has a fabric dustcover designed only to be deployed when the turntable is not in use.

I also noticed mechanical noise from the turntable, not enough to be spoil the music, but a bad sign. I’ve looked at reviews for both of them and they’re all overwhelmingly positive for both units, so I can’t decide. The glass platter helps here too – its added mass and inertia help maintain a consistent rotation speed, leaving you to enjoy a listening experience that’s sharp, clear and true to its roots. However, it’s up to the user to install the counterweight, balance the tonearm and set the anti-skate level. Keeping the stylus properly seated in the groove, this mechanism ensures improved sound quality and record longevity.

However, if your house is stacked high with ultra-rare vinyl, being able to transfer it to a more convenient and robust format is sure to appeal.

The Stir It Up turntable should be pretty easy to set up, but my review unit was a little more complicated than it needed to be. I activated the included anti-skate and set it to the recommended level of 2, but it still kept happening. The flashing light on the Bluetooth button indicates that the turntable is unable to connect to any speaker. The belt for the House of Marley Stir It Up Wireless turntable is already wrapped around the platter. If I don’t need to use it that’s a positive in taking up less space, but I really don’t mind continuing to use it if I have to.It’s ideal for those who care about the environment and sustainability, and it’s not too daunting to set up either, even for those who are new to turntables. Since the user has to set this up themselves, it took me a fair amount of time to balance it correctly. Quickly and easily pair the turntable with your favourite wireless speakers or headphones (no cables necessary).

It’s got RCA outs and a built-in (defetable) phono preamp if you want to plug directly into powered speakers or a receiver that lacks a phono stage. You first turn the dial to turn it on and choose the speed of your records, and then press the button to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. Paul has spent the past eight years testing and writing about gadgets and technology for the likes of Louder, T3 and TechRadar. ends up so much anti skate that you can forget trying to start a record on anything other than track 1 – its impossible to hover above a track break without the anti skate pulling the arm to an earlier position. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. I was able to take the Get Together 2 and wander down a short hallway and into the farthest corner of the next room before it started cutting out.
