They are included on the Season 7 set under the tagline of "The Ones with More Friends". I can only guess that these episodes were edited in SD. Nothing else makes sense to me as to why these particular episodes are excluded from being in HD in the original broadcast versions.

Friends - Complete Season 1-10 (Blu-ray) - Warner Bros.

Friends: The Complete Series includes an exclusive bonus disc that is only included in this Blu-ray edition of the series. The main inclusion, the " True Friends Documentaries" are presented with 1080p High Definition transfers.Audio Commentaries – Commentaries for "The One Where Ross Got High", "The One That Could Have Been", and "The One With The Proposal" parts one and two with Bright, Kaufman, and Crane. Extended episodes have not been included on this release following Warner Bros. indication that the DVD scenes reinserted into episodes to form those extended cuts utilized materials that were not available to create High Definition elements for the extended scenes. In other words, former sequences that had been expanded were likely edited onto videotape and the original masters no longer exist. It's what most likely happened with this uncommon scenario. Thus, Warner Bros. has not included them because these scenes would have been in 4:3 full frame and in standard definition. I imagine that the studio would have also had to reassemble these versions (which may have been somewhat cost-prohibitive for the Blu-ray release).

The One That Goes Behind The Scenes (SD, 42 min) – Originally produced for the Discovery Channel, this in-depth documentary follows the production of an episode from conception through to airing. The show intercuts interviews with true behind the scenes footage, including looks into the writer's room, the live stage, and the editing booth. Easily the best feature that isn't on the bonus disc, and possibly the best feature in the set, period.Smelly Cat" Music Video (SD, 2 min) – This music video sadly does not answer the question of exactly what they're feeding that smelly cat. Like most shows that went on for ten years, Friends didn’t end on its strongest note. The last couple of seasons were weaker than much of what came before it, with some questionable storylines – Joey and Rachel!? – and an overall feeling of been there, done that. But most of Friends holds up very well, with plenty of classic storylines and episodes – my personal favorite era being the end of Season 4/beginning of Season 5, as the “Chandler and Monica keep their relationship a secret” storyline played out.

Audio Commentaries: Four more commentaries pop up for Season Seven: "The One with the Holiday Armadillo" with executive producers Kevin S. Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane and costume designer Debra McGuire, "The One with Joey's New Brain" with Bright, Kauffman and Crane, and both "The One with Monica and Chandler's Wedding, Part 1" and "Part 2" with Bright, Kauffman and Crane. The inclusion of anyone other than the showrunners -- pleasant and forthcoming as they are -- is appreciated, but only draws attention to what could have been. Imagine actor commentaries, writers' chats and other combinations. While Bright, Kauffman and Crane are as jovial and informative as ever, it would be nice to hear from a cross section of the entire cast and crew. Season 3: The One Where No One's Ready, The One With the Football (featuring Art Director John Shaffner), The One the Morning AfterSeriously, Friends is something that has always brought me comfort over the years and it has for millions of other fans too. If you haven't jumped onto Friends fandom and its joyful choo-choo train yet, then now is a perfect time to become an acquainted fan. For we will always live in a world where we need friends and Friends is something we can rely on to always be there to remind us. Joey Joey" Music Video (SD, 3 min) – Even weirder than the last music video, this one is cut together by what appears to have been an eight grader using iMovie. Friends Visit The Ellen DeGeneres Show (16 min.) is a sit-down with Ellen for some of the Friends actors. The interviews were recorded separately but this should still be an exciting supplement for fans of Friends and Ellen (who had her own awesome sitcom, of course). Season 7: The One With the Holiday Armadillo ( featuring Costume Designer Debra McGuire), The One With Joey's New Brain, The One With Monica and Chandler's Wedding

Gag Reel (SD, 10 min) – A gag reel seems like a no-brainer for a show like this, so it's a bit surprising that it took six seasons to get one. It's nice to see the cast fumble and be real with each other, and some of the flubs are quite funny. Bright also explained that he previously remastered 12 of the episodes of Friends for a special movie theater release celebrating the sitcom's 25th anniversary in 2019 "and got to see the original negatives and do color correction on them." He added, "It's night and day, even from HD. That's what I'd like to get over the fence next." Audio Commentaries – Commentaries for "The One with Chandler in a Box", "The One with the Embryos", and "The One with Ross's Wedding" parts one and two with Bright, Kaufman, and Crane. True Friends Documentaries : Friends from the Start, When Friends Become Family, and The Legacy of Friends. These three documentaries explore the development of the show, its cast's unity and chemistry and how that helped to define the show as the gigantic success it became, and the lasting impact of the series. All told, these three documentaries offer over an hour of new material for Friends fans. Unfortunately, there are no appearances from the original cast leads.Behind the Style: The Look of Friends (SD, 20 minutes): Substantial documentaries are few and far between, but "Behind the Style" is a refreshingly substantiative trip behind the scenes with costume designer Debra McGuire, hair stylist Jonathan Hanousek and makeup artist Robin Siegel. Behind the Style: The Look of Friends is a twenty-minute long documentary about the costume designer, makeup artist, and hair stylist who bring top quality work on to the show and how it contributes to the success of Friends. This Complete Collection shows how these young friends help each other through their day to day lives and struggles, always being there for each other, and always somehow ending up in awkward, yet hilarious situations. It's always difficult surviving in the real world, but it helps if you have friends. (Cat Emerson) This release doesn't hit a home run but for what it's worth it's one of the best and most exciting Blu-ray releases for a television series to date. It presents one of television's greatest series in a way that is immeasurably better than any previous home video release when it comes down to picture quality. This collection may end up being considered as one of the most controversial Blu-ray releases, but I love the set and am happy owning it this way. I expect there are many Friends fans who would be thrilled owning a collection of every episode in High Definition. Warner Bros. has released a set that is absolutely worth owning. You just have to overlook certain hiccups and make those purchasing decisions accordingly. The One Where Rachel Tells Ross (SD, 23 minutes): Shortly after 9/11, a pre-recorded scene with a bomb joke left the producers with little choice but to alter the episode in which it appeared. For the first time, see the original producer's version of "The One Where Rachel Tells Ross" and read the original script.
