Objective Grabber: The Gouf is the single fastest suit at 250 points. This persists until the Doms start to become available at 300, and even then the Gouf remains above-average. With Hi-Spec Cruise Control, it can keep pace with a Dom at 400 points. Because of this, Goufs are really good at capping points; your sheer speed will often let you get in - and out - better than the pokier members of your team. Given how you will tend to be a fire magnet, this is doubly important since the closer you are to the battle line, the more you can help out after a respawn. The same weapon as used by the Zaku type mobile suits, it fires explosive rounds that were quite effective against the armor of Earth Federation mobile suits and battleships.

The Gouf is a ground-only, ground-specialized Raid suit that appears first at 250 points and has variants continuing until 400 points. It's notable for a few reasons, not the least of which being that when it first arrives, it is beyond a shadow of a doubt one of, if not the strongest melee suit in GBO2 at 250 points. Only three suits in the entire game have a 3-hit combo at this tier, and while the GM Light Armor and Zaku I are both capable melee artisans, the Gouf is significantly stronger offensively, with a blade that completely outclasses literally everything in its tier. Indeed, the Gouf's melee punch is actually substantially stronger than its Custom cousin that shows up at 350 points, giving you a general indication of how brutal this thing is in close combat. In practice, the Gouf actually exceeds the damage output of the Efreet DS, a fact that is going to cause any Support that gets a whiff of you to break out in hives. Skill Level 2:

Developed as a part of ZAFT's New Millenium Series of next-generation mass production MS, the GOUF Ignited's inital design was rejected in favor of the ZAKU series. However, the design's high performance saved it from being cancelled and its development was allowed to continue. Later, a handful of prototype version of the improved GOUF Ignited (which was the current ZGMF-X2000 GOUF Ignited) were deployed in battle. The GOUF Ignited piloted by FAITH's ace Heine Westenfluss and painted in his personal color was one such unit. Heine and his GOUF Ignited were assigned to the Minerva shortly after of the Battle of the Gulnahan Ravine. It was destroyed afterwards by Stella Loussier's ZGMF-X88S Gaia Gundam, killing Heine in the process during a 3-way battle between the Minerva, the Earth Alliance and its allies from the Orb Union and the Archangel crew, who tried to prevent this battle. [3] You only have one, and it's a weird one, for a few reasons. Sadly it's a weapon you're going to have to master the quirks of if you want to have any hope of using this suit. Maneuver Armor Level Lv1: While boosting, incoming stun effects by ranged weapons (not melee) are reduced by one stage. Heavy Stun becomes regular stun and Regular Stun will be outright ignored. Howver, this only happens when actively boosting; it does not work during the startup or end of your boosting animation. Correct use of this is critical to surviving as a Gouf in open terrain fights. Multi-hit weapons (shotguns, machine guns) will still stun you, as will direct hits from cannons and heavy weapons.
