If you feel in need of some real seasoning this holiday, then get this book for yourself, well in advance of Christmas. After reading other reviews, I have requested it again because I did not read the text as well as I should have. This was indeed quite easy to make in advance of the big day and it kept well wrapped in baking parchment and tin foil in a baking tin, as instructed by Nigella. I must confess here that I’m one of those bah humbug types who is probably going to be visited by Jacob Marley in chains one of these day. Just in time for Christmas, Nigella Lawson has brought us a wonderful Christmas gift in her new cookbook Nigella Christmas.

We do not know how the mention of butternut cubes crept in here in place of onion; obviously the Butternut Fan Club has an underground agent at the publishers!

But I do want to draw your attention, as well, to the Turkey Breast Stuffed with Italian Sausage and Marsala-Steeped Cranberries.
