There's also a lot of interesting trivia, such as how the “cold breath” from the ice cave scene was a surplus CGI effect from 'Titanic' which the producers decided to use! The image is more solid and the dimly lit segments, of which there are many, are much brighter and boast a greater level of shadow detail than ever before. There isn’t much more that can be said about the Blu-ray release of Fight Club , other than it’s a release definitely worth picking up. The 1999 transfer has the advantage of being truer to the original theatrical presentation of Fight Club by not being digitally sharpened and having a few framing differences that are (probably) closer to the theatrical version.

Pitt and Norton deliver knockout performances in this stunningly original, darkly comic film from David Fincher, based on the controversial book by Chuck Palahniuk. A text screen describing what the scene is, and why it was changed or deleted precedes each scene in this section. Your going to love this I promise, leave a review too when you have seen it and prove me right or wrong for others.

Subsequently Jeff did camera work on a number of Fincher’s other features including ‘ Se7en’ and ‘ The Game’. For those who have been living under a rock for the past decade, the story of 'Fight Club' goes a little something… like this: Edward Norton plays a nameless office drone (keep in mind that 1999 was also the year that the office drone fought back - 'American Beauty,' 'Office Space') who works for an insurance company. Many of them are just alternate versions of scenes already in the movie, like a more explicit sequence where Jared Leto gets pulverized, and a "tonally" darker scene where Ed Norton threatens his boss.

It’s so grimy and primordial that many years after its release, the ripple effect of its power can still be felt within cinema itself. It was a film released in the midst of a wave of energetic filmmaking, made by a media savvy crop of young filmmakers that looked like it would affect the way that movies were made (and viewed) for the new millennium. Fight club is about an average American man (Edward Norton), tired of his run of the mill existence, longing for something to happen. After his apartment is mysteriously destroyed, our narrator moves in with Durden and before long they've started the Fight Club, and underground boxing ring where angry young men mercilessly beat the shit out of each other. For 20th Century Fox’s 10th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release, they’ve really put together a terrific package. The plot is slick, well paced, exciting and fiercely intelligent, with more twists and turns than you can imagine. He had enjoyed moderate success with the stylish horror-thriller Se7en a few years prior, but it was Fight Club that truly put him on the filmmaking map. Once you get past the “Booms” and “Thuds” the remainder of the dialogue sounds very warm and uncompromising – essentially everything you’d expect from this movie.

There are a couple of new special features, but nothing in the way of retrospective documentaries - I would have loved a feature about the post-'Fight Club' fallout like then-Fox head Bill Mechanic getting axed. In fact I ended up using an enormous Sony CRT production monitor ( a HDVS system HDM-2830) to view the meager content available.

Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. Also, Fincher recently spoke about doing a 'Fight Club' Broadway musical to celebrate the movie's tenth anniversary, with a score by Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor. We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement. And as far as this edition of the film, it deserves a place in every collector’s collection, standing as the finest treatment yet for a film.

Costumes and Make Up- This shows various sketches dealing with what the title implies, as well as some cool before and after fights drawings of some characters.A Hit in the Ear: Ren Klyce and the Sound Design of Club" (HD 9mins) - This is a brand new feature which takes a look at the sound design of 'Fight Club'.
