Their mowers are powerful, reliable, and the familiar orange colour really sets them apart from other brands. Flymo really knows their stuff when it comes to compact, affordable lawn solutions and I love their products so much I’ve dedicated an entire lawnmower review article to them! I was pleasantly surprised that the instruction manual was A4 in size. Most manuals are A5 and can be harder to read, especially when it comes to viewing the pictures. Not only were the images bigger than most other lawnmower manuals, but they were also very clear. One step was described per image, which was a welcome factor. Grass Collection– The grass box has a pretty decent capacity and will store a nice amount of clippings in there before you have to stop and empty it. The mower does a good job of collecting these clippings too. The grass box is a little flimsy though and when lifting it up with a full load of clippings inside, the handle can come off! You can fix this easily by putting a couple of self tapping screws into the handle though and it’s something I’d recommend you do just to re-enforce it. Nobody wants the handle to come off the grass box when there’s a full load inside!

It has 5 cutting heights from 25-65mm which is adjustable using a simple lever. This mower also comes with a grass trimmer so you get perfect edges every time.

To avoid this, I walked slower for the rest of the cut and applied quite a hard pressure when pushing. If you’re cutting tall grass, the 1000 W engine may not be enough to get through it. The ideal cutting conditions for this mower seem to be well-manicured lawns that aren’t dense or heavy with growth. What really stood out for me was the long power cable. A lot of people are put off the idea of buying a corded mower because they worry that it’ll limit their reach. Short of using an extension cable, a lot of mowers won’t get to every corner of your garden. However, since the Flymo EasiMow 340R is fitted with a standard 10 metre power cable you’ll be able to reach more of your garden. Flymo has a reputation for making affordable, easy to use and efficient garden equipment, especially when it comes to lawn mowers. So when I discovered the Flymo EasiMow 340R, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and give it a try. It’s made perfectly for small to medium gardens and comes with a nice range of features that will make tending to your lawn a cinch. You have a choice of five cutting heights with the Flymo EasiMow 340R and these range between 20mm and 60mm. The 20mm minimum is great for people who like to keep their grass very short, but the higher end of the scale could be a little more generous, in my opinion, as some mowers go up to 75mm allowing them to cut longer grass. Assembling the Flymo EasiMow 300R was easy enough. There are only a few parts that need to be put together. First, you need to install both handles before clipping the grass box together – which came in three separate parts.

Cutting Ability– It does give a decent cut if you use it for what its intended. Cut your grass regularly, keep it to a decent length and the Flymo Easimo will put in a decent performance every time. That’s all you can ask of it really. It does help massively that the mower has a metal blade.The metal blade cuts though the grass cleanly and is pretty strong so expect to get a decent lifespan out of it. If there’s one thing that really does annoy us about mowers these days, it’s the fact that some manufacturers (including Flymo) design their mowers with sub-standard plastic blades which tend to break after a few uses. You won’t have that problem with this blade though, that’s for sure. With the Flymo EasiMow 340R, you get a 35 litre grass box. That’s just about spot on for a mower of this size so no complaints there. This is a plastic grass box though so do keep in mind that it might be harder to store than a fabric one.Handle– The handle is a two piece handle which you will need to fit together during assembly. You will see that half way up there are two wing knobs which connect the upper part of the handle to the bottom part. These can be loosened so that the handle can fold over for better storage. Cordless, battery-powered lawnmowers give you the freedom to roam from the get go. They’re perfect if there is no power source near the lawn that needs cut. This issue is that the batteries don’t tend to last very long so the area covered is pretty similar to what a corded lawnmower can do. It takes a few hours to re-charge the batteries so a larger lawn can take all day to cut. Cutting Width Flymo are famous when it comes to lawnmowers and they have a huge range of options to suit many different lawns. Cutting Heights– If you want to change the cutting height this isn’t too hard. There’s three different height settings and a range of 20mm to 60mm. Now 20mm isn’t really, really short – so if you like a short finish on your lawn this won’t do the job.20mm is a perfectly tidy finish though. Anyway to adjust the wheels you just simply move the front and rear wheels. The axle of the wheels slots into 3 different grooves which determine the cut height.
