Fartillery: Le Corbussier et Papin - literally, in one episode when the former uses the latter as a howitzer against passing Tour de France cyclists.

In 2001, Reeves, Mortimer and Lisa Clark formed their own production company, Pett Productions, which has produced several television programmes that have featured one or both comedians. The Stotts get a progressively bigger role over time until they get a Once an Episode segment in Bang Bang.

Vic and Bob have performed on a number of television programmes as a double act, though they have also worked alone or in collaboration with other people. (For their work outside of the Reeves & Mortimer double act, see Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer.) The show would usually close with the song "Let's Have A Little Bit More," which saw the pair enthusing about various smells, from " Pol Pot's Dungarees" to "Lulu's Hairdos." Reeves and Mortimer auditioned for roles as a pair of chipmunks in The Lion King (1994); according to Mortimer, the Disney producers were enthusiastic, but he and Reeves were uncomfortable with their corporate attitude and abandoned the film. [12]

Two gruff, boozy men who appeared on the Food & Drink spoof reviewing the Lovely Brown Boozes, before Derek (Vic) let slip that his girlfriend Maggie had left him. They then appeared in Antiques Roadshow wanting to get a bottle of Babycham valued, before giving it generously to the Booze For t'Baby man. Power, Ed (29 December 2017). "Vic and Bob's Big Night Out, review: the hugely influential 90s comedy show returned – but they didn't make a fuss". The Telegraph. London . Retrieved 18 January 2018. Vestibular schwannoma is a benign growth in the brain that usually grows slowly over many years and does not spread to other parts of the body. This Christmas Special spawned the third incarnation of Shooting Stars, which included a sixth series in 2009, a seventh series in 2010 and another Christmas special airing on 30 December 2010. An eighth series of the show was shown on BBC 2 in 2011. The show has since been axed by the BBC.

Vic and Bob, also known as Reeves and Mortimer, are a British double act consisting of Vic Reeves (born 24 January 1959; real name Jim Moir) and Bob Mortimer (born 23 May 1959). They have written and starred in several comedy programmes on British television since 1990, with Reeves having made his first TV appearance in 1986. They have often been referred to as the modern day Morecambe and Wise. Tom Fun went from a one-off joke in series two of The Smell to getting his own Once an Episode segment with Derek in Bang Bang. Particularly noticeable in the parodies of TV shows, which insert completely random aspects as often as they actually play on real characteristics of the people and shows involved. For example, Melvyn Bragg of The South Bank Show is obsessed with his bicycle, Hugh Scully of The Antiques Roadshow is constantly surrounded by stuffed monkeys, and John Craven of Countryfile is a lecherous pervert who always finishes every sentence in a Dalek-esque monotone yell. However he also said that he would be interested in making the radio show into a television series. [6] Film [ edit ] Unusually Uninteresting Sight: All the time, and especially how Vic and Bob seem to freeze in time whenever Greg Mitchell and Corky appear.

I’ve got used to it, I like going out bird watching and I never know where the birds are. I can hear them but I don’t know what direction they are in. The Faceless: Averted with the intro narrator, who appeared on-camera at the start of one episode as part of an unexpected, surreal swerve. Reeves and Mortimer appeared in a corporate advert for the BBC itself in the early 1990s, suggesting that the BBC was a place where talent could grow and develop. The advert spoofed BBC trailers of the time, which informed viewers of upcoming programmes due for broadcast. The duo's advert replaced these real programmes with their own inventions, including crime-drama "Detective in a Wheelbarrow", a comedy pastiche of Last of the Summer Wine called "Three Blokes in a Bath" (which also featured Matt Lucas), coverage of both " Olympic Anvil Throwing" and "International Pan Fighting", and ended with " Poldark on Mopeds". The Parody: A few remarkably surreal examples, more towards the earlier part of the show's run. Some examples of shows parodied include Stars in their Eyes, Noel's Addicts (and Noel's House Party), Countryfile, Masterchef, The South Bank Show and The Antiques Roadshow.

This TV series displays examples of:

They would also inevitably end every transaction with someone they accused of making light of their bras with something along the lines of "And ye can keep yer [X]!" before snatching whatever 'X' was and storming off with it anyway. The major development from the previous series was that Mortimer now hosted the show alongside Reeves. As well as getting his name in the title, he and Reeves sat together behind the large prop-strewn desk. Later in Bang Bang each episode involved someone dying, a shell-less egg emerging from their mouth, and then their body fading away in a dramatic fashion (usually this was in the very surreal car sketches, but once migrated to the studio). Vic and Bob explained in interviews that the egg was supposed to represent a soul. Children in Need - A Nose through Nature section. The show featured scratch and sniff technology. (1995)
