It's important to clarify your own perception of the situation — the thoughts and feelings the get stirred up by your partner's comments. Or you can sit there and let her make the biggest mug out of you ever. It means she focuses on being her husband’s helper, lover and supporter. And as a result, he treats her like a queen.
