About this deal

When fully charged, all six of the case’s green LEDs are lit, and the case looks even more sci-fi. The earbuds themselves provide about 5 hours of use, and the charging case will boost this to about 20 total hours of listening time. In practice I found this to be accurate. My daily use of the earbuds consisted of wearing them during a workout for about 1 hour, then using them to listen to a podcast or audiobook for another 30 minutes to an hour. With the charging case as their booster, the earbuds lasted almost a full week before I had to charge the case again. The box is charged via a USB-C port located on the rear. And, no, it doesn’t have wireless charging. It also does not have the typical 4 LEDs that indicate the remaining battery level, but the front LED will blink 3 times every 5 seconds when the charge level of the box is low. This is helped by the presence of pop-up physical triggers along the right edge of the phone, which can be assigned a function for your game, to turn your smartphone into a device that more resembles a gaming controller. This setup delivers quite an advantage in games. The microphone for calls isn't located at the tip of the stem like on most stem style earbuds. It is located on the outer front side of the stem at the bottom. The call quality is good for indoor calls.

I’d love to see someone do an aftermarket ear foam tip but the silicon to seal and provide some passive noise isolation. What are they missing? It’s hard to overstate how useful this feature will be for certain users. Plugging in the device while you’re having your morning shower will top up the device with enough charge to see you through the whole day; or, if you’re running low on juice in the evening, just five minutes of power will get you over the finish line. Answer a call: we must tap on any headset while we are receiving a call. During the call, a touch will make us hang up. The headphones come with 3 pairs of pads of different sizes to use the ones that best adapt to our ear.

First impressions on the hardware is good. They are well made, the case is well designed and everything about this thing screams GAMING!! What is clear is that Bass you can feel was the first thing they briefed the audio technicians on for this build. Sound All of the components are carefully protected within their own slots in a dense foam within the box. In use this means that colors display slightly less punch, and contrast is a little worse – although, admittedly, the difference is minor. You’ll only really notice the differences if comparing the various handsets side-by-side, and we found the display fine for its purposes.

Putting the device through the Geekbench 5 benchmark test, it returned a multi-core score of 3,531. This marks it out as one of the most powerful phones with this chipset, beating the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus by around 100 points and the Xiaomi 12, OnePlus 10 Pro and Oppo Find X5 Pro by even more. Mids in my opinion sounded better on the gaming audio setting, they were a little more forward in the sound signature. I tried this more than once mid song to see how the frequencies and sound signature changed. The music mode definitely sounded less woody. I always describe the wooly sound some earbuds produce like your sitting in front of a speaker and there is sheet of cardboard between you and the speaker. Power Off – place earbuds in the case and close lid, or press and hold both touch controls for 5 seconds Musically they are more than up to task considering the lower price point. You can choose between the dual modes for gaming or music with a triple tap on the earbuds.

The length of the buds is really nice and I’d say while not as comfortable as my AirPod Pros they are super light and will be comfortable for long listening sessions or gaming sessions. If the case itself didn’t look 80s retro sci-fi enough, it has three pairs of green LEDs on its front that serve as battery level indicators. When the batter is at its lowest level, only two of the green LEDs are lit, which makes the case look uncannily like the face of a Transformer, perhaps a cross between arch-enemies Optimus Prime and Megatron. The sound of the earbuds is…complicated. For starters, these earbuds are billed as “gaming” earbuds. I’m not quite sure what that is supposed to mean. In normal mode (music mode), there is a slight delay between the image and the sound while watching videos or playing video games, but when you activate the game mode, the image and sound are entirely synchronized.
