It weighs in at 130g with toothbrush head so it is quite light and definitely will not take up too much of your luggage space. The size including brush head is 23 cm x 2.5cm x 3cm. 5) Value For Money One advantage buying Oral-B is that you can use all tooth brush head models on every tooth brush. Also the added 3rd year warranty is a great bonus ! Last but not least the Li-Ion batteries in an entry level device are hard to beat but remember that Philips Sonicare already had them for years. As per the name, this connectivity makes the brush smart and potentially more useful than the likes of the Pro 2. The Pro 2 2000 has 2 cleaning modes (Daily Clean & Sensitive) compared to the 1 mode (Daily Clean) on the Pro 1000. As the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 is a cheaper electric toothbrush, you would expect it to come with fewer features. It is actually surprising how many features Oral-B have fit into this basic electric toothbrush. Styling

The Pro 2 2900’s rubber grip provides the colour accent to the handle, to contrast with the white plastic body. Whereas each 3900 is a solid colour. It gives results from the first day of usage. It removes surface stains from day one. You will notice brighter and whiter teeth within a few days. Both offer a 3D cleaning action via the small round brush head, but the Pro 1000 only offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations per minute, compared to the 9,900 and 45,000 of the Pro 2 2000. Whilst the difference exist the impact on your brushing and cleaning results are limited. However, as noted earlier, there are various variants, which can mean the grip colour will be different, or the same! The Oral-B Pro 650 comes in at a lower price point and thus sacrifices some of the features of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500. The main one for me is the pressure sensor. Pressing too hard with a toothbrush can lead to gum recession and tooth wear. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 has a pressure sensor that flashes red when you are pressing too hard. This will mean that you will use the brush at just the right pressure. There is no difference in speed/power of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 and Oral-B Pro 650. Is the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 waterproof? The grip on the rear of the Pro 3 3900 handle comes in the form of lots of dimples compared to the ridges on the 2900. With the 2000 it is the rubber grip in blue or pink that contrasts against the white plastic body of the brush. Although there is a white gripped variant too. It should be noted, that the brush heads supplied with either the Pro 2 2000 or 3 – 3000 can differ. Most common is the CrossAction or 3D White brush head. But there are a few different options. Your brushing technique, routine and diet will have a bigger impact on your teeth and making them whiter than the brushing mode alone. is still a fair difference in price when you consider the actual selling price, your talking of a premium of around 35% for the Pro 3 over the Pro 2.

However, I hope I can help your readers to compare the Oral B / Braun ranges, from my own research in November 2016! Whilst we don’t have specific figures for this model, we estimate that the Pro 2 2000 is about average in terms of its impact. This is because it doesn’t have additional, unnecessary extras like Bluetooth or an in handle display. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 looks like an expensive electric toothbrush and feels solid in the hand. It features a slimline body, which is easy to grip. Although if you do suffer from arthritis of the hand, it may be on the too thin side. The Pro 2 2000 offers 9,900 oscillations and 45,000 pulsations compared to the 8,800 and 20,000 of the Pro 1000. Where the Smart 4 perhaps stands out more, is the Whitening mode, which could potentially be more effective at removing surface stains on the teeth and helping them to look whiter than they once were. The pressure sensor benefits new and even experienced electric toothbrush users, but admittedly new users get the greatest benefit. Protruding from the body, the power button is easy for the fingertip to detect. You do need to give it a fairly firm push, so those with dexterity issues might find it a bit more challenging. Both brushes come supplied with 1 brush head in the box. Most of the time this is a CrossAction brush head with either model. However, the Pro 2 2000 may come supplied with a 3D White or Sensi UltraThin brush head. It is designed this way to mimic their top of the line iO Series and does away with the large rubber grip on the front of the handle that you find on the 2000.
