I didn't find the job light much use when cutting, I didn't think it added much, chances are you already have light over your bench. It's not like the ones on the Makita drills, which are invaluable and in my view a major selling point. Can't comment on dust extraction, I'd need to try one without to understand if that's needed. Don't know how I managed with out it ,light weight and powerful. Great tool love it clean cut straight cuts . The Makita DSS611 features the same lightweight design, 3.1kg, portability and high performance as DSS610 although the following functions have been removed: LED Job light, Positive stop at 45 degrees, Blower function, Electric brake. This provides for a much better value tool.
