Shelby's reasons at the end seemed almost childish and their interactions with Joseph and Sheila were pointless and it seemed like that affair was just as silly. I couldn't feel the sympathy and pain from this betrayal from the main characters. The first few chapters of the book are 4 or 5-star quality. How she learns that she has been cheated on, how she reacts etc. Perfectly planned. Kudos to the writer about those parts. Another great recommendation! A new romantic suspense author (for me) that will have me hooked on her books!! What happens later is that Shelby doesn't want to go on her honeymoon alone and invites her best friend Ace and he accepts the offer.

Noah and Claire had met at the time of her sister’s funeral. He resisted her then but when she comes to one of his hotels asking for his help, there is no way he is able to resist her twice. From the moment Claire walks into his hotel hoping to get a job, he knows he has to have her. He has to protect her at all costs. That being said, I wish this book took a bigger focus on the relationship Shelby and Ace had. The first 30%ish is about the wedding, and I get that, but I wish there was the same attention focused on the actual couple here. The characters are easy to connect with them emotionally.The pacing is fast! The love scenes are passionate and actually moves the story along... The story itself was well plotted and turns to keep your attention!I found Mine to Hold to be a humorous, flirty, steamy friends to lover's romance that will whet your appetite and leave you satiated at the end. - Satisfying

Ace and Shelby have been best friends for 5 years. However, at the beginning of the book, Shelby is getting prepared for her wedding with Ace's best friend Jonathan, and Ace is planning to propose his girlfriend Sheila after the wedding. Noah York is used to always being in control. His character already managed to intrigue me in the previous parts of the series, so I was very curious to find out more about him and the many mysteries he seemed to keep. He's the perfect type of alpha male, he's a rich, powerful hotel owner with a past full of fighting and killing. Even though, he's left that world behind, he's still the same calculated fighter with a lethal instinct. Especially when the things or persons closest to him are being threatened. If there's one person who'd to be able to protect Claire, it's supposed to be Noah... Someone else is just as consumed by Claire--someone who will kill to possess her. And if Noah can't stop the hunter in the darkness, he may just lose the one woman that he can't live without.

And as for this book, I can say that it started in a really good way and raised my hopes but as soon as their relationship started, it went downhill for me. When his best friend calls out of fear for his little sister’s safety, Bryson jumps in to protect the beautiful Tinley for fear that another person close to him will be taken away. Nevertheless, I will still eagerly await Cynthia Eden’s next books, but this book just wasn’t for me.

I highly recommend the entire series. In this book we see characters from the previous books in the series such as Trace and Skye, who are sooooooooo happy (they so deserve it) and Drake. I was so surprised when I saw him and then I thought "He has a reason to be here" and he did but then I was so disappointed because I waited for a HEA for him as well. Please Cynthia write a book about him. Everyone got their HEA except him, it's so unfair, he was so saddddddd... :( Noah York is a man with secrets. As with the first book I was immediately immersed in the story that Ms.Madison wove. I really enjoyed this book, it was so much better than the first two. I may have had a slight problem near the end but I decided not take away stars because I was actually being a little insensitive well actually a lot insensitive. I figure the heroine was being a bit melodramatic about dying But that's just me.
