Overall, I think with its charming art and simplistic writing, this book can be read by anyone and everyone (and it should be, imo) and I'm sure people of all ages would find it enjoyable.

Overall it was a pretty light read so this will be perfect if you are looking for something to make you laugh, and I would consider it to be a nice beach read since it's quick as well. But a chance encounter forces her to confront the truth: what happened to make Macy stop speaking to Elliot? Josie is currently experiencing a role reversal as she navigates the college admissions process with her seventeen-year-old daughter. I was a fat kid and was bullied but similar to the lesson taught in the book about embracimg our individual uniqueness, I just treat and absorb those words that were used to bully me just like any other adjective used in describing a person.Peet often raises awareness for dwarfism with a lighthearted and charming presence, shining a loving light on his mother and siblings, all of whom are little people. They can be flamboyant and love gossip and fashion, and there is NOTHING wrong with being queer and fitting certain queer stereotypes. She also has to contend with the parents who are desperate to get their children into the school, particularly a high-maintenance woman with boundary issues, and a pair of husbands she can’t quite figure out. Josie’s work life is pretty chaotic because of the demanding parents who want their children IN the private school.

If you have trouble acc epting mistakes, if you try to be right all the time, or if you worry about being less than the best, this book is for you! Lily swears she’ll never end up in another abusive home, but when Ryle starts to show all the same warning signs that her mother ignored, Lily learns just how hard it is to say goodbye. A small, quiet grassroots movement that starts with each of saying, “My story matters because I matter. Peet Montzingo is a multi-faceted artist with a curious and kind heart, whose talents span creating original content, singing, comedy, and so much more. In the first, Macy Sorensen meets and falls in love with the boy next door, Elliot Petropoulos, in the closet of her dad’s vacation home, where they hide out to discuss their favorite books.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Our “I Love You” book for Valentine's Day is just like your SO – full of little imperfections that you absolutely love. Introducing the dazzling new picture book that addresses the universal themes of being different, feeling like you don't fit in, and finding yourself along the way.

I started and stopped the book and almost didn’t pick it back up because of off putting I found some of the comments. Through his fascination with the local mysteries of his neighborhood to his deep bond with his mother and family, Peet skyrocketed to internet fame, boasting millions of followers who find themselves deeply engaged and supportive of his endeavors. Fighting against racism, bad boyfriends, crazy tiger moms, and a daughter who wants to give in her dream of becoming a professional ballerina instead of a practical profession, our main heroine tries to balance it all.Now that she’s almost 40, she’s the director of admissions at Fairchild Country Day School, an ultraprestigious private school in San Francisco. It’s too bad that the only man who’s caught Josie’s eye lately is a married and gay dad of a prospective student.
