For me, one of the best thing about having kids is being able to play with the toys and I love little play sets, doing the voices and acting out with characters is my forte!

This is a fantastic toy which is aimed at 18months and over and as the smallest piece is Peekaboo, I personally would have been happy for my daughter to play with this with careful supervision from maybe 12months on but that's a decision to be made by the parents concerned. I have found myself humming the tune (or singing full pelt in the car) many a time and we all enjoy a little snuggle on the sofa to watch it. Whether in the real world or on their boat, they love to hide, imitate and be surprised as they discover new things. The Twirlywoos demonstrate these concepts in a clear, repetitive way, which will help the child at home recognize these concepts and terms as they interact with their surrounding environment. the boat is actually a lot bigger then i expected, and has Lots of different areas to press that makes sounds it lights up too which is also a bonus, the tank inside also gives the illusion of filling and emptying.The boat also has the two portholes either side of the horn light up whenever the ring is pulled and a tune played or when the horn is pushed down. Based on the CBeebies show, the Big Red Activity Boat combines developmental learning with imaginative play.
