The Dood is an educational version of the Clarinet. To succeed on this instruments, it is helpful if students practice 10-15 minutes every school day and essential that they treat the instrument with care! The reed in particular is fragile and if bent will make it impossible to play well. With the DooD, Nuvo has once again reinvented the rules and brought a new concept for woodwind music making to the market! This instrument allows young children to start taking their first steps with a single reed instrument earlier than would otherwise have been possible. In addition, the DooD can add another tonal shade to primary music making ensembles. The instrument has a chromatic range of one octave. The DooD is supplied with the same mouthpiece usually found on the Nuvo Clarineo. The shaker can be used alone or with other DIY instruments to create the perfect percussion ensemble! Place a handful of the filler material into the canister, cap it, and then shake it! This is one of the easiest homemade instruments to make and only requires a few materials. Flute
