Description

Next, insert the PlayStation 2 power cable into its figure 8-shaped slot or the yellow "DC IN" jack, then connect it to an outlet. Make sure that it's close enough so that the video and the power cables don't have to stretch to reach the TV and outlet. You cannot use a PS1 controller regularly with your PS2, but you can use a PS1 controller while playing PS1 games. If you have a surround sound stereo and wish to use this feature, you'll need to configure the Wii console to use surround sound.

wikiHow is a “wiki,” similar to Wikipedia, which means that many of our articles are co-written by multiple authors. The idea is that, while in (hardware) PS1 mode, the IOP becomes the main processor (which happens to be an upgraded PS1 one) while the main EE emulates the other PS1 components, but that isn't 100% accurate (see how there are options for upgrading disc speed or smoothing textures). If this ends up resulting in a black-and-white image, try plugging the Yellow plug into either the Blue or the other Red connector. Please note: This kit is to be used with NES Frontloader consoles that have the NESRGB already installed. Some PlayStation®2 or PlayStation® format software titles may perform differently on the PS3™ system than they do on PlayStation®2 or PlayStation® systems, or may not perform properly on the PS3™ system. All SNES units are compatible with the SyncBaby without modification; with exception to the SNES Mini/Jr units, which were some of the last SNES units produced and were a smaller than normal form factor (they were more rounded, and not boxy looking). You can find the Digital Out (Optical) port next to the video port on the back of the PlayStation 2. Insert the AV Multi Out plug of the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console. Some common input selects to look for on the TV or remote are: Input, Input Select, EXT, AUX, AV, or a channel such as 00 or 99.

Plug the Red and White audio cables as normal, and try plugging the Yellow plug into the Green connector. Once the cables are inserted and the Wii console is powered on, switch your TV to the channel you use to watch movies. OR you could use a PSP go that can be played on the go with a decent screen, and also allows for video out via component.

The official cables have 6 mini coaxes (R/G/B/Cv/L/R), a single conductor for +5VDC, and a drain wire for the braided shield. With a device like the one shown, connect the red and white audio jacks into the matching inputs, and the green, blue, and red likewise. With both TV and Wii powered up, use your remote control (see above) to find the signal from your Wii. Note that if the TV has progressive scan, this must be enabled in the settings screen before you can see images from the Nintendo Wii. To hook up a PlayStation 2 for playing games, first find the right cable to connect your console to your TV.

Once connected, and the console switched on, you will be able to view the Wii using your remote's TV/Video button. There are several ways that you can connect your PlayStation 2 to your TV or receiver, depending on the inputs available. The RCA connectors might also be included, giving you the option to use either depending on your TV.For details, refer to [ Types of Playable Discs], visit the SIE Web site for your region or review the documentation that was included with your PS3™ system. Note that whichever solution you use, you're limited to the Nintendo Wii's maximum output resolution of 480p. Insert the AV Multi Out plug on the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console.
