The Atlas is perfect for the long winter evenings, immersing yourself in a discovery of some of the weird and wonderful ways humans have mapped their world. The photos are a nice inclusion, though would be better with captions, so we know what we're looking at. If you are a geography fan, a history fan or someone who likes weird, interesting facts, try this book.

It's a pity because otherwise the design is pretty thoughtful (another quibble is that few of the maps are a little basic).
