Perhaps my expectations were set too high for this title, and I look forward to listening to this author's future releases. All the maybe he isn’t—, maybe I should be—, maybe I should just—, I can't. Brooke why are you doing this to yourself.

Torres, Miguel (16 January 2018). "Cadena Telemundo estrenará en verano la serie "El Recluso" ". tvboricuausa.com (in Spanish) . Retrieved 17 January 2018. Thank you to Macmillan Audio, St. Martin’s Press, and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.Although the first half of the book was stronger than the book's second half, overall, the book was too S-L-O-W burn for my fastidious palate. Pulls you in and for whatever reason is engaging —(some context silliness with a questionable content?) Yes! No question, Amelie has had a rough life. Orphaned at the age of 17, she was rescued off the streets by a woman who would give her a job, a home and friendship. But after moving on to a new job with tycoon Ned Hawthorpe, her life once again is about to spin out of control. All of Freida's books are magnificent reads as there is always a huge twisted plot awaiting you nearing the end of the book. At times, I thought Shane was suspicious, then I thought it was Tim, and in the end it came down to someone I never even considered. I thought that the epilouge was a great ending too, where Josh tells his part in the story.

YEP…. it’s speedy alright — I actually guessed one aspect of the story early on — but not the full extent of it… The premise of the story was interesting and some of the individual scenes were quite frightening which I enjoyed along with the short sharp chapters to help build that sense of time and suspense.I just finished reading "The Inmate" and wow was that book beyond stupid, too many unbelievable events happening the whole second half of the book. It was already a giant coincidence to be working in the same prison as her old boyfriend she turned in but then it just got dumber and dumber to the point where when the twist started happening I just speedread the rest of the book. Man what a waste of time, I'd give it a 2/5 maybe a 1 if I think about it more. It all started with the loss of her parents: her mother at a young age, and Papa more recently, to a terrible illness. After moving from Paris to London, Amelie tries to forge ahead with her adult life and process her grief...until she happens to meet a woman named Carolyn (quite randomly) who THEN gets her somehow entangled with playboy billionaire Ned Hawthorne, whose father has a well-known foundation. When Ned presents her with an interesting proposition that will end in marriage, it seems like all of Amelie's dreams are coming true at once and a new and exciting life is just around the corner...so why now does her imprisonment seem like her ONLY hope for escape? After sighing, grumbling, and eye-rolling my way through most of The Prisoner...those feelings were a LITTLE too close to home.

Bestselling author Sebastian Fitzek sends you on an ingeniously disturbing journey with his brand new psychological thriller.

Plot line is unique: a young woman married with a billionaire is kidnapped with her husband but being prisoner in a dark room is far better than her imprisonment of marriage! With all of this being said, it was suspenseful and it did keep me fairly engaged, but I have read all of B.A. Paris's works and when I see her name on a cover, I get excited.

As soon as I enter, I identify an unpleasant musty odor that wasn’t here the last time I retrieved a bottle of wine from the basement—he’s probably growing mold down here.”Telemundo International Studios Launches Its First Production "El Recluso" (The Inmate)". nbcumv.com . Where to Find Us The Inmate by Freida McFadden opens with Brooke Sullivan starting a new job as a nurse practitioner at Raker State Penitentiary, where there are only three rules she has to follow.
