Most of the meat action of this book happened on one day, and I would have liked the suspense to build a bit more - maybe by having the front half their relationship built more or the case that eventually led to their separation being in the page rather than just explained when they’re back together.

In this book- Ria was (understandably) severely distressed the entire time - and I really want to know her when she’s in a peaceful state also. When they’re reunited - with their baby son - they discover their separation was for their own safety and that a criminal lord is after them both. But when he thinks he sees her, tracks her down and discovers that she’s been put in witness protection, everything starts to unravel.

We pay respect to the Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
