KitKat Green Tea Matcha is inspired by one of the most popular of the 350+ KitKat varieties that have been available in Japan over the years and follows requests from chocolate lovers to make innovative KitKat flavours available to consumers outside Japan. The term "信玄餅" (Shingen Mochi) is a type of traditional Japanese sweet made from gyuhi (a type of soft, chewy rice cake) covered with kinako (roasted soybean flour) and drizzled with kuromitsu (a type of dark sugar syrup). While most people won’t be doing their weekly shop at the London department store, the matcha latte is now a staple at most high-street coffee chains. Smoothies and ice-creams have also flooded the market.
KitKat Green Tea Matcha for the European market is manufactured in Hamburg, Germany using UTZ-certified cocoa beans and real Matcha green tea from Japan and China. There are no artificial colours, flavors or preservatives.
