I have a Samsung smart TV with blue tooth audio connectivity and the audio will break up with the XM4 head phones at a distance of <10 ft, I have to disconnect and reconnect a couple of times to correct the problem. The head phones have over the air software updates so I'm hopeful some of the annoying issues are resolved with future updates. I don't recommend turning on the Notification and Voice Guide nor to activate the two device linking within the app. I found that when the head phones are permitted to connect to more than one device, they will automatically and when linked to two devices the head set can not be used for phone calls. Also the Speak to Chat is useless as it will shut the music off if you sing or speak while playing audio and responds to spurious external noises. I had bought this headphones mostly for dual Bluetooth functionality , so that I can keep it connected to computer and my phone. It switches the input automatically according to the sound output of the device. There is no proper control to switch it based on your need. Sometimes in middle of a call on phone, it switches to computer , even if you are not playing anything on computer. It is very frustrating.By default, music resumes playing 30 seconds after your conversation ends in Speak-to-Chat mode. This timeframe can be customized using the Sony | Headphones Connect app. I hope Sony's future iteration provides a better microphone, or allows for an optional external microphone similar to those used on gaming headsets. the adaptive sound cancelling took a little time to get used to, but once you realize that it lets you hear more when you are on the move to avoid traffic, be more aware of your surroundings it makes sense. you can turn it off in the app if its bothersome. Also, the headphone ear pads are so so so soft. Which is great when using them, but makes me anxious when handling them or putting them down anywhere, especially with three kids and a cat on the prowl all the time. Furthermore, the biggest issue with earlier models is the fragility of the headband and especially the weakest link where the headphones connect to the headband, and rotate. Mine broke on my older set, and the cost of repair was really too high. So, that put me off from getting another pair for a few years. Until now.
