Final thoughts: I highly recommend this product in general since it's a more unique take on adding berry toned lips to your collection. Even though Lipstick Queen herself, Poppy King, is no longer behind the brand, I’m thinking that this is so ‘her’ it’s probably one of her final creations for the brand. Lipstick Queen turns the blackberry lip trend on its head with an ultra-modern, navy blue sheer lipstick with a deep berry tint. Not only I (and my whole generation, I think) grew up with the female version of this character but I don’t think I heard about the existence of the other one until I was in my late twenties. The 'Hello Sailor' Lip Gloss from Lipstick Queen looks to be a deep sapphire colour, but actually gives a glimmering, berry shade with hint of topaz. With regular use, they improve moisture levels in the lips and minimize water loss thanks to Rice Lipids.

Maybe I’ll graduate from MAC at some point but right now Viva Glam 1 is what I’m enjoying most, which is a matte, warm plum, but not too dark.
