Although I never outright hated it, for something to last two years is a lifetime on terms of my collection.

I'm sure the scent changed somewhat because for a long time only natural ingredients was used in most colognes/perfumes. In Bouquets case, I find it harsh, acidic and unbalanced, very intrusive and taking all the bad qualities of each scent and exalting them, instead of the good qualities of each ingredient, and this is one of the many that has that ingredient I can't pinpoint but I always detect and that I find disagreeable. Penhaligon's: Agarbathi, Babylon, Blenheim Bouquet, Bluebell, Cairo, Castile, Changing Constance, Douro, Elisabethan Rose, Empressa, Endymion, Endymion Concentré, Halfeti, Halfeti Cedar, Halfeti Leather, Iris Prima, Juniper Sling, Lily of the Valley, Luna, Monsieur Beauregard, Much Ado About The Duke, Opus 1870, Orange Blossom, Oud De Nil, Quercus, Racquets, Sartorial, [Savoy Steam]( https://www.I will probably get another bottle, it will probably take me years to use up as I won't want to wear it everyday or cover myself in it but that's OK, because when in the right mood this is unbeatable. The lavender evens out the citrus in a meaningful way before the pepper and pine base show you why this lemon pledge scent has been popular for so long.

I had fond memories of "English Fern," so I went there to ask which of their fragrances could be considered the driest, least frivolous, and, more importantly, which would accommodate this stench of smoke that would not go away. Like in most of their fragrances, there's at least always one ingredient I can never identify lingering making the scents loud and rather inexpensive smelling. It is better than almost all the portraits and a lot of the newer but not new stuff like Juniper, Endymion and Quercus. Will put this on my short list with Halfeti, Quercus, and Juniper Sling as my favorites from the house so far.I think this is a good clean smell that would probably be nice for a clinical setting or a car air freshener in a luxury vehicle, but for unknown reasons it is intolerably obnoxious to me. Blenheim Bouquet, a 1902 fragrance by Walter Penhaligon, takes its name from Blenheim Palace in England. the main problem with this scent is duration and projection but if you go heavy with the sprayer you get a blast of lemon and musky woods, this scent was Winston Churchill signature scent. The founder of the brand, William Henry Penhaligon's, arrived in London in the 1860s to make a fortune and thus began his illustrious career.

The main problem I found with scent was the longevity and projection, you need a little more than a few spritz’ to have it last the day. now 30 minutes later i am sniffing for the source of a very pleasing aroma and it is my wrist with Blenheim bouquet. He has a warmer type of body scent which mixed with the smoky woods and citrus altogether smells like home to me. However, the citrus top notes are very short-lived, and as they fade they seem to take the crisp, green woodsiness of the pine with them. When I went on a business trip to Vegas where there was a Penhaligons boutique in one of the hotels.

I waited and waited but the dammed smell wouldn't go away (i guess at least it has good staying power. Projection is on the weaker side of moderate but for those in closer proximity I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this scent as you pass by. Physicians, psychiatrists and counselors, clergy, academics, and judges should consider this as a choice for the workplace. It's not particularly complex, but it is well blended and the ingredients are of an obvious high quality (at least in my bottle, which is circa 2006 or so).and not a sharp pepper a la Poivre Samarcande by Hermes or Poivre 23 by Le Labo, but a very "gawky" pepper. BTW, I love Penhaligon as a frag house and my favorites are Douro, Extract of Limes and Castile but Blenheim is nowhere close to being in this league of legends ! It was one of the first citrus scents of history and still today is the best seller of the English house, also loved by many women.
