F W Horner, Records of the Surveyors to Commissioners for Inclosure in Parishes in Norfolk and Suffolk. In his Will made the 21st July 1919, William appointed his sons Thomas and Walter together with schoolmaster John Alfred Field, as his executors and trustees.

As Annie trudged through blizzards, forded rivers, climbed mountains, and clung to the narrow shoulder as cars whipped by her at terrifying speeds, she captured the imagination of an apprehensive Cold War America. Her poems appeared often in the Spectator and Journal of Commerce and the Canadian Illustrated News newspapers. Instead, she bought a cast-off brown gelding named Tarzan, donned men's dungarees, and headed south in mid-November, hoping to beat the snow. With barely any money and her family’s farm all but lost, Wilkins also faced a diagnosis of a terminal illness. A sixty three year old lady from Maine gets up on a horse in 1953, grabs her little dog, and the three of them ride to California. She had no money and no family, she had just lost her farm, and her doctor had given her only two years to live. Between 1954 and 1956, they pushed through blizzards, forded rivers, climbed mountains, and clung to the narrow shoulder as cars whipped by them at terrifying speeds.

Monitor journalism changes lives because we open that too-small box that most people think they live in.I love collaborating with talented strategists, UX architects, and designers to execute thoughtful solutions in the digital space. I’m Annie and I’m originally from Northamptonshire, but I moved up north 4 years ago to study music at the University of Leeds. Through most of 2017, wildlife biologist Sara Dykman followed migrating monarch butterflies on her bicycle, lodging with and befriending people along the way. She finally rides into California having found her true self, regained her health and - defying those doctors - lives another 22 years. Best of all, you are the one who sees not a country divided and mean-spirited, but rather one full of people eager to console, to care for, and to celebrate the spirit of a woman who would not give up.
