Overall, I enjoyed the book — definitely worth a read if you're a fan of shows like "Downton Abbey" and you're looking for a fluffy (yet dramatic) holiday romance! Circumstances force eight-year-old Sarah Scrase and her widowed mother Ellen to enter St Giles and St George's Workhouse in Bloomsbury.

From the age of eight, sixteen-year-old Charity Crosse has been living rough with her grandfather and begging on the streets. These books are not doing anything new but you know what you’re getting into when you give them a go.This author is amazing I've read every book she has written im so glad my friend told me about her this one was quite lovely and romantic. But he says he can prove his claim and yet it is not his intention to evict them from the only home they have known. Although she is the legal owner of Greystone Park she had no intention of living there but if she wishes to marry Freddie then she must agree to Lord Dorrington's condition. When Eloise Cribb receives the news that her husband's ship has been lost at sea, she wonders how she is ever going to manage. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins.

She's the one who told him to take up his place as heir to the estate and wait the year out for his father to give his blessing. Until the dashing Piers Blanchard appears on their doorstep from Cornwall, claiming that he is the rightful owner of Rockwood Castle. But the preventative men are quick to capture some of the smugglers whilst Rosie finds herself injured and in the debt of an unknown boy who rescued her and took her back home to Rockwood Castle. But Lady 'Bella' has a secret and unable to live with her domineering husband she decides to leave, fighting for custody of their daughter, Leonie. The Carey children, Rosalind the eldest, Patricia, Bertie and Walter have neglectful parents their mother who wants to continue with her singing career so takes off to London and a father who is a botanist taking off for the wilds of Asia.

The series might take you on a rollercoaster of emotions or provide a steady companion on lazy Sunday afternoons. When two coarse, rough-speaking individuals come to claim her, she can remember nothing of the events that brought her to her present state, not even her name.Holding the letter in trembling hands, Daisy’s future crumbled before her -- the words engraved on her heart forever. This is a great story - my only reservation would be that the reader should have read the previous two books in this series to make complete sense of all the plots.
