The woody drydown is made of patchouli,vetiver, cedarwood, heliotrope and transparent musky notes, all together accentuating the masculine character of this fragrance.

It’s a kind of clean office smell, something you can walk into work wearing and people will know you smell good without over powering them. This is a great alternative fragrance for fans of Jil Sander and works ideally either for the mature young man or the classic businessman. On me this alternates between fresh and spicy and a warm, earthy slightly floral accord that I find captivating. Very much a citrus fragrance, it also oddly has a hint of lavender - despite not actually containing it! As this dries down the orange moves to the background and the scent gets less fresh and more powdery and warm !This fragrance leaves a feeling of elegance well suited for night work day but also for special events under one roof. It's an unlikely fragrance for a first review, but somehow it's a scent very well suited to the weather at the moment - gloomy, chilly and windy. Classic, serious, straightforward, and elegant, the BOSS Selection man is focused on his goals and being successful and balanced in his personal and professional life. This leads to the heart of anise and geranium with a hint of cedar,a beautiful warm woody floral accord that lasts quite well on my skin.

If I could have the smell (during the first hour) and have it last for 7 hours, this would skyrocket along the same class as my other favorites. Combining the ever tired combo of pink pepper and grape in the opening, reveals the lackluster amount of creativity poured into this bottle.It works like a charm since people usually calmer after I shake their hands and within Selection projection.

Im not saying that its gonna happen on everyone's skin, i mean the same scent lasted for like 4 to 5 hrs on my friend.
