Description

Matthew wants Ellie to feel the pain he's held on to for years, but furthermore, he wants to humiliate her. He was never her match, and thanks to a bug he planted in the program, her company has incorrectly identified millions of matches over the last several months. As he's walking away from Ellie, she strikes him with a decanter and he dies. But Matthew has a safety net — their entire interaction has been recorded and is automatically streaming to the internet. ¡Ahhhhh! Anyway, I know we all talked about the covers being red, white and blue because of her name and the fact that the colors were statement dresses in the books but MAN, I STILL wish for a green one. I don't hate the white, I just like green better.

I made my way across the floor, sampling some hors d’oeuvres on my way. None of the food seemed terribly appealing, though. Maxon’s favorites weren’t necessarily mine, I just had to trust that everyone else would enjoy the selection.' The Great British Baking Show': Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith Sent the Wrong Baker Home during "Party Week"

How is The One series different from the book?

A tea party will be held and each of the Elite has to invite two guests. America shares with Maxon her plan about the tea party: she invites the Italian princess Nicoletta and Georgia. When they meet each other, Georgia explains to Nicoletta the goals of the Northern rebels and asks her to fund their weapons so they can fight the Southerners. After contemplating, Nicoletta finally accepts this request, as she wants her country to support the future of Illéa, a possible ally. There was a long moment of silence before he lost his temper. “I will not have anyone else telling me who I can and cannot marry! This is my life you’re playing games with!” The answer is that it’s not the circumstance, environment, pandemic, test, project, or event that makes you feel a certain way. It looks like it is but it’s not. A closer look reveals it’s always your state of mind. If your state of mind is low when the circumstance happens, it affects you a certain way. If your state of mind is high when that circumstance happens, you are able to rise above it, overcome it, and move forward. When you make a mistake on the field, on stage, in a meeting, or on a sales call and you’re in a low state of mind, it really bothers you and you start to question yourself and your performance. But if you make the same mistake while you are in a high state of mind, you just brush it off and move forward. You have a next-play, next-moment mindset and look forward to the next opportunity. We’ve all experienced what it feels like to be in a low state of mind and how great it feels when we are in a high state of mind. What Characterizes Low and High States ofMind? You're breaking a lot of rules, Miss Singer." "You're the prince. You can just pardon me." — Maxon Schreave and America Singer

Mandy's portion of the book ends with her taking baby Thomas to meet his father at the nursing home. Richard, against all odds, "slowly and purposely" holds his son's hand. Christopher Rebecca finally admitted the truth to Matheus to gain his trust. She also admitted that she gave Matheus’ brother money, the same money he used to buy the heroin that led to his overdose. Matheus seemed ready to leave his soulmate for good when David Cooper (Paul Brennen) appeared. You said that to get things right one of us would have to take a leap of faith. I think I've discovered the canyon that must be leaped, and I hope to find you waiting for me on the other side. The more you practice this over time, the more you’ll find that your roller coaster hills of thought become less steep. The distance between your highs and lows gets smaller. You still have an ebb and flow but the ride becomes calmer and less scary. When you realize the roller coaster of thought is normal and there’s nothing wrong with you, you feel a shift immediately in your state of mind. That’s because the truth emerges and brings more clarity to you and your life. You now better understand how thoughts work. You aren’t the only one who experiences the ebb and flow of thought. Everyone does. It’s normal to have a range of thoughts, feelings, and emotions. You are simply human. Too often psychology slaps a label on you and makes you feel like something’s wrong with you, which causes you to fix what’s broken, which leads to more revved-up thought, more clutter, more anxiety, and feeling even worse. While the intention is good, the result is often bad. In many cases the answer is not to fix what’s broken but rather to remember that you are on a path to wholeness, as we will discuss often in this book. Because the book is broken down by characters' perspectives, I'll be segmenting this the same way. Mandy I had the lowest of the low expectations for this book. I wanted to throw The Elite out of the window. I wanted to throw this one out of the window too. But I was less inclined to. I still firmly believe this trilogy could have been a duology, even one book without all the redundant political situations that weren't even portatryed right! I was satisfied with the ending, it was predictable, cheesy, far-fetched, too neat, but solid. I'm always interested in hearing how you feel.' Oh, no. Nope. I was not putting it out there first." -*glares at words*

Celeste's redemption arc, was totally unexpected and totally fake. Yes, I was certain there was a person underneath all that bitchiness BUT HOW CAN A SINGLE CONVERSATION CHANGE ONE PERSON'S ENTIRE PERSONALITY? America found her crying because her reputation in the contest was tarnished compared to hers, then America has a talk with her about some feminist shit, and here we go Celeste is an entire different person with an entirely different personality. THESE THINGS DON'T HAPPEN. She might have started to treat America and the girls better and she became a goody good character! She lost everything that made her Celeste! And then she killed her off. Typical. Ugh, why can't this writer handle character development well? Everything is a mess. I want everything with you, America. I want the holidays and the birthdays, the busy season and lazy weekends. I want peanut butter fingertips on my desk. I want inside jokes and fights and everything. I want a life with you.” Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Master Gardener’ on Hulu, Another Subtly Sinister Drama From Master Storyteller Paul SchraderI'm just sooo emotional over this,, the sweet sweet sweetness, adorable emotional angsty love .. i love love love love this, i love it...
